I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to this place on Via Cavour, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. The street’s pretty busy during the day (lots of foot traffic heading toward the Colosseum), but there’s something about stepping into this apartment that just… works. It’s one of those spots where someone actually thought about color and design instead of just throwing together generic hotel furniture.

The location is what really got me though. I mean, you’re literally a five-minute walk from the Roman Forum – and I’m talking a genuine five minutes, not that inflated travel website math. The Monti neighborhood around here has this perfect mix of touristy enough to feel safe but local enough that you’ll find Romans grabbing coffee at the bar downstairs. Via Cavour itself can get a bit noisy during rush hour (those Roman drivers, you know?), but honestly, once you’re inside with the windows closed, it’s fine. What I loved was being able to walk to Trajan’s Markets in the morning before the crowds hit, then ducking back here for a quick break before heading out again.

The apartment itself feels more like staying at a stylish friend’s place than a typical hotel room. The “colorful” part isn’t just marketing speak – there’s actually thoughtful use of color that makes the space feel bigger and more interesting than your average Roman accommodation. The kitchen setup is pretty functional too, which matters if you want to grab groceries from the Conad down the street and make breakfast instead of paying €15 for hotel cappuccino every morning. Check-in was smooth, and they actually give you decent local recommendations instead of just pointing you toward the most expensive restaurants. The whole building feels well-maintained – you know how some places in Rome can be a bit… worn around the edges – but this one’s clearly been looked after. Only minor thing is that the elevator’s pretty small, so if you’re traveling with multiple big suitcases, you might be making a couple trips. But honestly, for the price point and the location, especially being this close to the Imperial Forums without the chaos of staying right in the thick of things, it’s a solid choice. The 8.7 rating makes sense to me – it’s not luxury, but it’s exactly what you want when you’re spending most of your time exploring the city anyway.

  This property was in an excellent location easy walking distance to the Coliseum. Very clean, well maintained and had an excellent layout. The A/C was great.
  
  What could be improved: The only reason I didn't give this property a 10 is the noise from the street below. If the windows could be sealed better it would be nice. Even with this, I would recommend due to the rest being excellent.

  The apartment and location were excellent, comfortable beds and great bathrooms, everything required in the kitchen dining area and a comfortable seating / lounge area with tv. Great apartment which is accurately detailed by the website pictures.

  Perfect for family with two kids or two couples. Great location, very close to Coliseum, metro station, restaurants, coffee bars. I loved to get a cup of coffee with crispy cream croissant at Bar La Licata every morning… it was delicious. Apartment is very clean, AC worked very good. It can be a little bit noisy at night, but it was not a problem at all for us after long day walk. Really recommend this apartment!

  Very attentive staff. They were available for us before checking in until check out.
  The apartment is as seen in pictures, very roomy and clean
  Easy walking to Colosseum, restaurants, supermarkets, and Metro.
  Owners offered reimbursement for a water heater problem we had during our stay and did everything they could do to fix it. Which they did.
  
  What could be improved: The apartment is on the 1st floor facing the road, which has led loud noises of cars getting in early morning.
  We got only one key set, not allowing us flexibility to travel separately.
  Prices were on the high side as other rooms were in this time.
