Hotel Description
You know what really caught me off guard about the Vintage Cipro Apartment? The elevator ride up to the 6th floor – I mean, you’re in this classic Roman building on Via Giorgio Scalia, and honestly, I was expecting something pretty standard. But then you walk into this place and it’s got this perfect balance of old-world charm and actually functioning modern stuff. The vintage touches aren’t just for show either – we’re talking authentic pieces that someone clearly put thought into, not just random antiques thrown together to look “characterful.”
The location in Trionfale is actually brilliant if you know Rome a bit. Sure, it’s not right in the tourist center, but that’s exactly why it works. You’re about a 15-minute metro ride from the main sights, but you get to experience what living in Rome actually feels like. There’s this fantastic morning market just a few streets over that most tourists never find, and the local bars – the real ones where Romans grab their morning espresso – are right there. The neighborhood gets quiet at night too, which is something you definitely can’t say about staying near the Pantheon or Trevi Fountain. I slept better there than at any hotel I’ve stayed at in central Rome, and the windows actually open properly for that cross-breeze thing that Romans have mastered.
What really sealed it for me was the attention to details that matter when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days. The kitchen isn’t just decorative – you can honestly cook a proper meal if you want to hit up that local market I mentioned. The bathroom has decent water pressure (not always a given in Rome, let’s be real), and there’s enough space to actually unpack your stuff instead of living out of a suitcase. The WiFi worked perfectly for video calls back home, and the host was responsive without being hovering – answered questions quickly but didn’t make you feel like you were being monitored. Parking can be a bit tricky in the area, but there are spots if you’re patient, and honestly, you’re better off using public transport anyway. The building itself has that solid Roman construction that keeps things cool in summer and warm in winter – thick walls that have been there for decades doing their job. At 8.9 rating, it’s clearly not just me who appreciated how this place gets the balance right between authentic Roman living and having everything you actually need for a comfortable stay.

Reviews
Superb – Simone from Germany – 12 October 2024 (9/10)
Renovated flat, very clean and comfortable, elevator which was necessary for us as we were travelling with a person with reduced mobility.
What could be improved: People screaming and arguing on the street down the flat. The police came on two different nights. It doesn't feel unsafe though, it is just Rome.Exceptional – Violeta from United Kingdom – 3 July 2024 (10/10)
Nice design , feel comfortable.
What could be improved: Will be better to have more towels especially if it's for long period. Just one set per person for a week we think it's not enough, because we don't have an option to clean them on vacation.Nice and clean, good value for price – Jose from Spain – 14 June 2024 (10/10)
Clean and comfortable, two blocks from the metro and 10/15 mins walk to the Vatican
Host was super friendly and communication with her was excellent. We already recommended the apartment to a friend that is planning to visit Rome.Superb – Marta from Poland – 24 April 2024 (9/10)
Blisko do ścisłego centrum ale nadal spokojnie.
Exceptional – Sasa from Croatia – 13 April 2024 (10/10)
Nice hosts Marco and Claudia. Very helpful.
Absolutely fantastic apartment! Highly recommended. – Emma from United Kingdom – 17 June 2023 (10/10)
The apartment is in a great location, it’s not central but it’s situated right beside the Cipro Metro allowing you to get to around quite easily. Not all of Rome is served by the Metro so you will need alternative transport to some of the tourist areas.
The apartment is a brilliant size, two large bedrooms and two bathrooms, it’s was very clean and had everything we needed!
What could be improved: The apartment is absolutely perfect and a great base for visiting Rome!
Be aware there are a lot of stairs to climb, there is a lift, however if you’re claustrophobic it might be difficult to use. My parents couldn’t climb the stairs but the lift was perfect for them!
Expect a little noise as people do live in the building, there is also construction going on outside, none of this is any fault of the owner and I don’t discourage staying here, just perhaps bring ear plugs to help with sleeping.Perfect. Host was very attentive. – Jackie from Canada – 8 May 2023 (9/10)
Location was perfect. So close to the Metro. Lots of great places to eat, grocery store, cafe, pizza shops etc. It was perfect. Host was great. Apartment is very newly renovated and very comfortable.
What could be improved: Everything was great.Perfect accomodation for 2 fammilies ! – Madalina from Romania – 26 May 2025 (10/10)
Very nice and confortable place! Close to the metro station and close to Vatican museum entrance. We had supermarket, cofee bar in the morning, and restaurants just 1-5 minutes from the accommodation!
I highly recommend for staying in Rome. – Marjan from North Macedonia – 16 April 2023 (9/10)
Stylish designed flat, very close to the Cipro Metro Station as well as to the super market and bakeries. It was very clean and equipped with necessary items.
good but not that good – Ricardo from Switzerland – 27 May 2025 (3/10)
What could be improved: The hotel is nice and well located, but I have two negative comments. First, be careful when selecting rooms. One has a bathroom outside the room and it's not comfortable. The other point is that the hotel ran out of hot water, so we couldn't shower the day we were supposed to leave, and because of the schedule, nothing could be done. That was disappointing.
