Hotel Description
Nestled in the charming Gianicolense district of Rome, the three-star Viaggio da Bea al Gianicolo offers an exceptional blend of comfort, convenience, and authentic Italian hospitality. This boutique accommodation, boasting an impressive 9.4 rating from satisfied guests, sits at 14 Via Francesco Daverio in the picturesque 00152 area of Rome. The hotel’s name itself—”Viaggio da Bea al Gianicolo”—hints at the journey awaiting visitors, as “Gianicolo” refers to the nearby Janiculum Hill, one of Rome’s best vantage points offering panoramic views over the Eternal City. This strategic location places guests within easy reach of Trastevere, one of Rome’s most beloved neighborhoods known for its narrow cobblestone streets, traditional trattorias, and vibrant nightlife, while still providing a peaceful retreat from the bustling tourist centers.
What truly distinguishes Viaggio da Bea al Gianicolo is its exceptional guest experience, reflected in its outstanding 9.4 rating—placing it among Rome’s highest-rated accommodations. The hotel strikes the perfect balance between modern amenities and traditional Italian charm, creating an atmosphere that feels both contemporary and authentically Roman. From the moment guests arrive at this Gianicolense gem, they are welcomed with the warmth and personalized attention that defines Italian hospitality. The area surrounding the hotel offers a glimpse into authentic Roman life, with local markets, cafes, and shops nearby, allowing visitors to experience the city as locals do. The proximity to the historic Gianicolo (Janiculum Hill) means guests can easily access one of Rome’s most tranquil green spaces and enjoy the famous noon cannon firing—a Roman tradition since 1847. While maintaining a peaceful distance from Rome’s more tourist-heavy areas, the hotel’s location provides convenient connections to iconic attractions such as St. Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican Museums, the historic center with the Colosseum and Roman Forum, and the artistic treasures of Villa Farnesina and the Galleria Corsini. Whether you’re a first-time visitor eager to explore Rome’s magnificent landmarks or a returning traveler seeking a more intimate experience of the city, Viaggio da Bea al Gianicolo offers the ideal base for your Roman holiday, combining comfort, location, and exceptional service as reflected in its stellar guest satisfaction.

Very cozy and comfortable apartment. Clean, well equipped. Quiet neighborhood. Shops and restaurants around. Easy access to the city center. I definitely recommend it.

Just about everything 🙂

Almost everything was excellent: localization, the host, the first advice, the bed. The place was very clean and tidy, the heating worked unobjectionable, the rooms, the bathrooms and kitchen was very comfortable, the district and the area were very local, clean, friendly. Every attraction of Rome is in the walking distance (Vatican: about 40 minutes, centro storico: 30 minutes, Trastevere: 10 minutes). But you can also take a bus if you want.
The host was very helpful: she enabled us to leave the luggage before check-in time and tried to prepare the place asap for our stay. The contact with her was great. We can also ask her about anything we wanted regarding buses connection, the best cafe, restaurant and so on. She welcomed us very warmly.Denes from France (10/10)
Fantastic. Calm neighborhood, still located at 30 minutes from historical downtown.
Great appartement with all amenities.
Thanks to easyjet, we arrived after the check-in time, but the host was kind enough to wait for us.
Thanks again!Deepak from India (10/10)

Excellent apartment. It has all the amenities a family might need.
The location of the apartment is very good. There are plenty of coffee shops and restaurants nearby. There is a big supermarket close by as well.
There are bus stops for many lines that can take you to every place in Rome.
Last but not least, the host was very helpful. She gave us all the information we might need.Max from Ukraine (10/10)
Clean, comfortable, cozy
Jorge from Puerto Rico (10/10)
Everything was perfect exceeding our expectations.
Nicole from United States (9/10)
Location, cleanliness, layout, and decor were exactly as expected.
Very quiet building and neighborhood, just a block or two from bus stops.
Hosts were friendly and, although we didn’t need to get in touch after checking in, were very responsive while setting up and during checkin. They sent a message the next day as follow up.
Service lift was available for luggage.
Beds were good sized with two pillows each and extra blankets were available. Blackout shades for that early morning sun.Julie from United Kingdom (10/10)
The apartment was exceptional, beautifully clean and stocked with every possible accessory you can think of!
Reyna was SO helpful, meeting us when we arrived and translating through Google with total ease. She made us feel very welcome when we arrived and remembered it was my father's birthday, wishing him many happy returns!!
Reyna also gave us a recommendation for a lovely restaurant which was walking distance from the apartment, and the nearest walking distance for fantastic gelato!!
Highly recommend!
