Hotel Description

You know what struck me first about this place? The address says “int. 9 – II piano scala A” which sounds intimidating if you don’t speak Italian, but honestly, once you’re there it’s just apartment 9 on the second floor, staircase A. The building itself sits on Via Catone in Prati – and I mean actually in Prati, not some tourist trap claiming to be near the Vatican while being a 20-minute hike away.

The location is honestly perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in Rome rather than just visiting it. Prati is where actual Romans live and work, so you’ll walk past the same café owner every morning (who’ll start recognizing you by day three), and there’s this fantastic little alimentari around the corner where you can grab real prosciutto and fresh bread. The Vatican is literally a seven-minute walk – I timed it because I’m nerdy like that – but more importantly, you’re right by Lepanto metro station, so getting anywhere else in the city is actually simple. No tourist buses clogging up your street, no souvenir shops blasting music until midnight.

The apartment itself feels like someone’s stylish Roman home that they happen to rent out, not some sterile hotel room. The second floor means you get decent light without street noise, though honestly the neighborhood is pretty quiet anyway. What really sold me was the attention to real details – proper coffee cups instead of those tiny hotel ones, a kitchen where you can actually cook if you want to hit the morning markets, and enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. The 9.7 rating makes sense when you realize it’s the little things: good water pressure, reliable WiFi, and – this matters more than you’d think – actual hangers in the closet instead of those weird hotel ones you can’t remove. I stayed there during shoulder season and it was perfectly quiet, though I imagine summer might get a bit warm on the second floor. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that “meet me at this random café with a red umbrella” nonsense you sometimes get with apartment rentals. It’s the kind of place where you stop thinking about where you’re staying and start just living in Rome, which is exactly what you want.

  The apartments are super, it is clear that the owners are trying to make the guests' vacation better. The owners are very nice people, they will always help and advise in any matter. The location is very convenient. I recommend.

  Divan smještaj, čist i prostran sa svim sadrzajima koji su potrebni za boravak( perilica rublja, fen za kosu itd). Prekrasno uređen, bio je zaista užitak odsjesti. Domaćini su vrlo ljubazni te su nam predlozili gdje otici pojesti, kako se snaći metroom i sve sto nas je zanimalo.

  Viajamos en familia con niños de 3 años y 1'5 año, y abuelos. Estuvimos muy cómodos porque las 3 habitaciones son muy amplias y equipadas. El apartamento está muy bien ubicado en una zona tranquila pero a unas calles muchos restaurantes, tiendas y supermercado abierto 7días a la semana. Nos atendieron muy bien desde nuestra llegada y ayudaron a organizar el taxi de vuelta al aeropuerto.
  
  What could be improved: El acceso al apartamento no es apto para personas con movilidad reducida o carritos de bebé. Hay un ascensor en el edificio pero no se accede desde la planta baja.

  Domaćin je prijatan i vrlo gostoljubiv! Ponudio nam je sačuvati prtljagu do polaska, sugerirao lijepa mjesta za jelo itd.

  What could be improved: Do estacionamento na rua, muito difícil achar vaga e tivemos um problema com furto de algumas bagagens do nosso carro. Porém há um estacionamento pago bem próximo ao apartamento.
