Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the Urban Garden Hotel’s address on Via di Rebibbia, I wasn’t exactly jumping for joy. Tiburtino isn’t Rome’s postcard district, you know? But here’s the thing about this place that actually surprised me: it’s got this unexpectedly charming garden courtyard that makes you forget you’re in a somewhat industrial part of the city. The hotel really leans into that “garden” part of its name, and I mean that in the best way possible.
What struck me most was how the staff seemed to genuinely care about making the place work despite its location. The lobby has this sort of modern-meets-cozy vibe with plants everywhere – not the sad, dying kind you see in some hotels, but actual thriving greenery that someone clearly tends to. The rooms are clean and honestly bigger than what you’d expect for a 3-star in Rome, though don’t expect luxury finishes or anything. The neighborhood itself is pretty residential and quiet, which was actually perfect after long days of fighting tourist crowds in the center. You’ve got the Ponte Mammolo metro station within walking distance, and once you figure out the bus routes (ask the front desk – they know their stuff), getting to the Colosseum or Vatican is totally doable, just plan for about 30-40 minutes each way.
Here’s what I really appreciated: parking is actually possible here, which if you’ve ever tried to park near the Spanish Steps, you know is basically a miracle. The area has some authentic neighborhood restaurants that locals frequent – there’s this little trattoria about two blocks away that serves incredible carbonara for half what you’d pay near the Pantheon. The hotel’s breakfast is decent, nothing fancy, but they’ve got proper Italian coffee and fresh pastries. One small thing that bugged me was the Wi-Fi could be spotty in some rooms, and the air conditioning runs a bit loud, but honestly, for the price point and the fact that you’re getting a genuine Rome experience without the tourist markup, I’d stay here again. It’s not going to be your Instagram-perfect Roman holiday backdrop, but sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

safe, convenient and friendly staff – Neelakantan from Qatar – 19 January 2025 (9/10)
hotel is within 10 min walking distance of metro station , very convenient to travel into central Rome. Has a gated parking facility which was ideal for us to leave the rented car safely. friendly and helpful staff.
A very nice stay for 3 nights, room came with great air conditioning and a small fridge. Staff were helpful and the wee – Morgan from New Zealand – 18 August 2024 (7/10)
The terrace seats/ leisure areas were nice, also great air conditioning
What could be improved: The bed had one thin top sheet which was nice on the hotter nights but another blanket would have been niceSuperb – A from South Africa – 26 July 2024 (9/10)
Clean, modern rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. Located very close to metro
What could be improved: If you have lots of luggage, stay on ground floor. Would recommend kettle in room pleaseRestful and secure – Stefan from United Kingdom – 28 June 2024 (9/10)
Room had air conditioning and no windows – very good in 38 degree heat in summer
What could be improved: All was goodVery good – Sitwat from Italy – 26 May 2024 (8/10)
Room was comfortable. Everything was OK. Kids can also enjoy in hotel…
Halal food was not there. Location was little bit difficult to find..
What could be improved: Need an oven as for kids it's necessary.Clean, convenient, Metro 3 minutes walk. Good value for money – Luis from Spain – 13 May 2024 (9/10)
Spacious room, clean.
Near Rebibbia Metro station, an urban quartier in Rome. There are stores and supermarkets on the vicinity.
What could be improved: My room (and those on the same corridor) had no windows. The door is a "dutch door" (the upper part can be opened while the lower remains closed) and you can choose to open for light or for ventilation (there are blinds)
Passers through the corridor can't help to see the interior of your room; as I said, there are blinds anyway. The team that exemplifies what service really should be! – Noel from United Kingdom – 5 October 2023 (9/10)
I have been fortunate enough to have travelled to many parts of the world and stayed in many hotels. The staff at the Urban Garden are wonderful! An amazing team where giving and making your stay the best it can be is their priority. I wish they could ‘be ‘cloned’ so that everybody could experience their style and kindness. Thank you to them all!
What could be improved: Leaving!Pleasant and comfortable is super what you pay for staying in Rome I would recomend it !!! – Andreas from Cyprus – 17 September 2023 (9/10)
Firstly i would like to say that all the employees were friendly and kind cleanliness was super I would recommend it to people to visit it also nice breakfast for the money you pay in Rome this was very nice hotel!!
What could be improved: the only problem is the distance but is only the first day you get a taxi from Termini station and get you to the hotel was only 15 euros since we had to stay many days in Rome But after the first day the transportation was very easy !!!Superb – Richard from France – 17 August 2023 (9/10)
Good location for a business meeting
Superb – Alan from Malta – 15 June 2023 (9/10)
The spacious clean rooms, helpful staff and quiet location
What could be improved: Pick pockets in the metro
