Hotel Description

You know what’s funny about Rome? Everyone obsesses over staying right by the Colosseum or Vatican, but honestly, Via Barberini might be the sweet spot nobody talks about. I stumbled across Triviho Hotel during my third trip to the city (yeah, I’m one of those people who keeps going back), and it’s become my go-to whenever I’m in town.

The thing is, this isn’t some flashy four-star place trying to impress you with marble everything – it’s a solid three-star that just gets the basics really, really right. The moment you walk in, there’s this relaxed vibe that feels authentically Roman without being stuffy. The staff actually remembers your name after the first night, which… I mean, that doesn’t happen everywhere. And here’s the kicker – you’re literally a three-minute walk from the Trevi Fountain, but you’re not dealing with the tourist chaos right outside your door. Via Barberini has this perfect mix of local cafés and actual Romans going about their business, plus that gorgeous Bernini fountain (Fontana del Tritone) that most visitors completely miss.

What really sold me was the neighborhood feel. There’s this little bakery two doors down that opens at 6 AM – you can smell the fresh cornetti from the hotel entrance, and trust me, it beats any hotel breakfast. The Metro stop (Barberini) is right there when you need it, but honestly, most of central Rome is walkable from here. Spanish Steps? Eight minutes. Pantheon? Fifteen minutes through some of the prettiest streets in the city. I’ve stayed in fancier places near Termini that felt isolated, but from Triviho, you’re connected to everything that matters. The rooms aren’t huge – this is Rome, after all – but they’re thoughtfully designed with decent air conditioning (crucial in summer) and surprisingly good soundproofing considering you’re in the city center. The 9-star rating makes sense once you’re there for a few days; it’s one of those places that grows on you as you realize how well-positioned you are for actually experiencing Rome rather than just checking off tourist boxes.

The room was beautiful and we were so lucky to recieve an upgrade to a room with a terrace. Good location next to metro down the road. Easy to access, good selection for breakfast and clean room

This hotel was a serendipititous find.! Very cool decor with numerous artworks in the public spaces and rooms. Room was large than normal and super comfortable in all aspects including a comfortable bed, large bathroom and a sofa !.

Hotel is spread over a number of floors in a block of apartments right at the very end of Via Barberini with the metro station just a short 5 minute walk away.

Will return definately as this hotel really added to our Rome visit.

Breakfast is alaso good though the breakfast room is rather small and with uncomfortable seating. But hey thats a small minus point for what you get .

Hotel is a 10 minutes walk away from Stazione Termini

  • Brian from Ireland (9/10)

Good location , the property was clean and tidy and well maintained. The breakfast in the morning was very good and staff very attentive. You couldn’t ask for more.

  • Michał from Poland (9/10)

The hotel is modern with panels of remote control and lots of cushions (there were more than 10 in our room). Located within 10 minute walk from Termini, 5 minutes from underground station & National Gallery, and in walking distance to Spanish steps, nd di Trevi Fountain. The rooms were cosy and very well equipped. We booked two combined rooms and this was a perfect choice as it included a private hall with an additional key. But the best was the staff (both at the reception and in breakfast area): friendly, helpful and proactively interested in making our stay comfortable and enjoyable.

Room was clean with plenty of space near plenty of attractions .

    Fantastic Stay – Highly Recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The breakfast was exceptional, offering a rich variety of fresh and delicious options every morning. The rooms were cleaned daily, ensuring a comfortable and spotless environment throughout our stay.

The hotel itself is beautifully renovated, with elegant décor and high-quality materials that create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Additionally, its central location made it easy to explore the city, with the metro just a short walk away.

We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
