Trevi Collection Hotel – Gruppo Trevi Hotels Overview
So I stumbled across the Trevi Collection Hotel on Via di Capo le Case while wandering around the Spagna district, and honestly? It’s one of those places that catches you off guard in the best way. The building itself has this elegant Roman charm – you know, that weathered stone facade that makes you feel like you’re stepping into old-world Europe, but without the stuffiness that sometimes comes with historic properties. The street is actually pretty quiet for being so central, which I wasn’t expecting given how close you are to all the tourist madness.
What really struck me about this place is how it manages to feel boutique without being pretentious. The lobby has this warm, lived-in quality – rich fabrics and antique touches that don’t scream “look at me” but rather whisper “stay awhile.” The staff genuinely seems to know their stuff about the neighborhood, and I mean beyond the usual tourist recommendations. When I asked about getting to Villa Borghese without dealing with the Spanish Steps crowds, the desk clerk gave me this perfect route through the backstreets that I never would have found on my own. The rooms are comfortable in that European way where everything feels proportioned just right – not huge by American standards, but thoughtfully designed so you’re not bumping into furniture.
Location-wise, you’re literally a five-minute walk from the Spanish Steps, but here’s the thing – you’re positioned just far enough away that you don’t hear the constant chatter of tour groups at dawn. Via del Corso is right there when you want to shop or people-watch, and the Trevi Fountain is close enough that you can pop over for those late-night photos when the crowds thin out (trust me, go around 10 PM). The nearby streets have some genuinely good restaurants that haven’t been completely overrun by tourists yet – there’s this little trattoria on Via della Vite where locals still outnumber visitors, at least on weeknights. Parking is… well, it’s Rome, so forget about driving unless you absolutely have to. But the Metro connections are solid, and honestly, walking is your best bet for getting around this part of the city anyway. I’d say this is perfect for someone who wants to be in the heart of things without feeling like they’re staying in Times Square, if that makes sense.

Reviews of Trevi Collection Hotel – Gruppo Trevi Hotels
Clean, good location and easy check-in. – Luisa from Australia – 10 January 2025 (8/10)
Place was clean, staff were helpful and informative and showers were hot. Staff were kind and allowed us to store baggage prior to check-in. Location was great – very close to the Trevi Fountain which means if you wake up early you can go and visit without the crowds.
Wonderful. – Kevin from United Kingdom – 15 November 2024 (8/10)
Breakfast was great, huge choice. Location midway between Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain was perfect – no more than a 10 minute walk to both.
What could be improved: Reception was pretty chaotic, a small area so at checkin and check out times people trip over each other. They really needed more than one staff member on duty.Excellent hotel – Terry from United States – 16 October 2024 (9/10)
