Tree Charme Parliament Boutique Hotel Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Tree Charme Parliament? It’s tucked away on Via dei Prefetti, which honestly feels like one of those Roman streets that locals use as a shortcut but tourists rarely stumble upon. I mean, you’re literally a three-minute walk from the Pantheon, but it’s quiet enough that you can actually have a conversation on the sidewalk without shouting over crowds. The building itself has this understated elegance thing going on – not flashy, just solid Roman architecture that’s been thoughtfully converted. When I walked in, the lobby had that particular smell of old Italian buildings (you know, that mix of stone and subtle mustiness that somehow feels luxurious rather than stale), but they’ve clearly put money into making it feel fresh and contemporary.
The rooms are what you’d expect from a boutique place – not huge, but every inch is used well. Actually, that’s pretty much the Roman way, isn’t it? Space is precious here, so they make it count. What I really appreciated was the attention to details that matter when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days. The shower pressure was solid (honestly, this can be hit or miss in Rome’s older buildings), and the beds were comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with Italian springs all night. The staff genuinely seemed to know the neighborhood – not just the obvious tourist spots, but where to grab a proper coffee in the morning (there’s a little place around the corner that opens at 6 AM) and which streets to avoid when the evening crowds descend on the Pantheon area.
Here’s the thing about the location that really makes this place work: you’re in the heart of everything, but Via dei Prefetti isn’t a main thoroughfare, so you don’t get the constant noise of scooters and tour groups. I could walk to Piazza Navona in maybe eight minutes, hit the Spanish Steps in about the same time, and the Trevi Fountain was close enough that I went twice – once during the day with everyone else, and then again around 10 PM when it’s actually magical. The 8.8 rating makes sense to me because it delivers on what it promises without trying to be something it’s not. This isn’t a luxury palace, but it’s a well-run, comfortable base in one of Rome’s most central neighborhoods. If you’re the type who wants to drop your bags and explore on foot, coming back to a quiet street when you’re exhausted from climbing Spanish Steps and dodging selfie sticks, Tree Charme Parliament gets the balance right.

What could be improved: The only negative thing was the water of the shower. A little bit poor but not so bad.Great staff, very clean and comfortable. – Stephen from United Kingdom – 25 June 2025 (10/10)
Lovely clean, quiet, comfortable hotel in easy reach of the places we wanted to visit. Very friendly helpful staff.
Really satisfied with my stay and will definitely return again. – Shu from Singapore – 25 June 2025 (9/10)
I stayed at Tree Charme on both legs of my trip in Rome. After my 1st stay, I was so grateful that I am returning to Tree Charme again. The hotel's location was perfect. It was near the main attractions like Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain, Spanish steps, Campo De' Flori market, central shopping district. There was a popular gelato, Giolitti, just around the corner. Bakery and Salami shops were also nearby. There is a great little shop selling quality Italian leather products just across the street.
The hotel was clean and modern. The bed was very comfortable. I appreciated the range of a softer and harder pillow provided. The water pressure in the shower was great. The additional toiletry shelf in the shower was very helpful.
The surroundings felt safe and friendly.
The staff were really friendly and helpful throughout both my stays.
The price is pricier than many hotels around the area, but it was well worth it. Pictures shown are extremely close to what is reality.
What could be improved: The shower for the 1st room was small. However, it seems to be quite the norm in hotels in Italy. Everything else made up for the tight space when in the shower. The shower floor can get slippery at times, so be a little more careful.Perfect location! – Julie from Belgium – 7 June 2025 (8/10)
The perfect location in Rome! Staff is very helpful and present 24/7.
What could be improved: Comfortable and clean room and bathroom but for the price it was not worth it, we got a room with a view on a tiny patio that was very dark. It should be specified if you get some sort of view or not while booking the room.Exceptional – Manuel from United Kingdom – 7 June 2025 (10/10)
