Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about The Style? It’s actually tucked away on this narrow street – Via Dei Due Macelli – that most tourists rush past without noticing, but honestly, that’s exactly what makes it special. I mean, you’re literally a three-minute walk from the Spanish Steps, but you’re not dealing with the chaos that comes with staying right on top of all that madness.
The whole place has this understated elegance thing going on – not trying too hard to impress, but everything just feels… right. The lobby’s got these warm wood tones and soft lighting that immediately makes you want to sink into one of their leather chairs with a glass of wine. Check-in was refreshingly smooth too, none of that awkward hovering around while they figure out your reservation. The staff actually seemed to know the neighborhood – when I asked about dinner spots, the guy at the front desk didn’t just rattle off the obvious tourist traps but mentioned this little osteria on Via del Lavatore that I never would’ve found otherwise.
Here’s the thing about the location though – and this is something you only really appreciate after you’ve been in Rome a few days – you’re in Spagna, which sounds fancy and intimidating, but it’s actually perfect for getting around. The Spagna metro stop is right there, so you can hop over to the Vatican or Trastevere without thinking twice. But more importantly, you can walk to basically everything that matters in the historic center. I found myself cutting through these little side streets to get to the Pantheon or Trevi Fountain, and it became this whole discovery process every time. The street itself is pretty quiet at night too – you get the occasional scooter buzzing by (it’s Rome, after all), but nothing that’ll keep you up.
The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid 4-star place – clean, comfortable, with that European efficiency where everything has its place. The beds are actually good, which isn’t always a given in Rome, and the bathrooms are modern without being sterile. Air conditioning works well, which trust me, if you’re there in summer, you’ll appreciate. I will say the rooms facing the street can get a bit of morning noise from deliveries and such, but honestly, by 8 AM you should probably be up anyway – there’s too much to see.
What really won me over was how the place felt after a long day of walking around the city. You know that feeling when you’ve been fighting crowds at the Vatican or navigating the Forum in 90-degree heat? The Style became this little refuge where I could recharge without feeling like I was missing out on being in the heart of Rome. The bar area is perfect for that pre-dinner drink, and the staff never made me feel rushed or like I needed to be somewhere else. It’s the kind of place where you start planning your next Rome trip before you’ve even checked out.

I will come back! – Joudi from Canada – 16 June 2025 (10/10)
Extremely well located, very friendly staff, new rooms very equipped. The bathroom a bit small but we had an amazing stay
What could be improved: The bathroom is a bit smallA relaxing getaway for two – Formica from United Kingdom – 1 June 2025 (8/10)
The location was excellent and the room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was good and the staff friendly. Lovely touch to give a welcome drink and helpful in organising taxis.
What could be improved: The bathroom needs updating- grouting and fixtures. The television also could be updated and the remote barely worked. The bar is a bit too dark and only noticed outside space on last morning as not mentioned.Very good – Carl from United Kingdom – 29 May 2025 (8/10)
The location is perfect
What could be improved: The family room we booked for 4 people was too small. The bathroom was a cramped en-suite space with no door separating it from the rest of the room, so affording no privacy.Perfect stay – Malak from Kuwait – 8 May 2025 (10/10)
I like everything it is the best hotel in Roma

Great location, walking distance to most sights and very close to Trevi Fountains and Spanish Steps. Comfortable beds and helpful, friendly staff.
What could be improved: Hot breakfast options lukewarm.Exceptional – Om from Kuwait – 2 March 2025 (10/10)
I love this hotel, it's the third time I've stayed there, its location is great and the staff are friendly and helpful, the breakfast is nice and varied despite the small size of the restaurant, I expected the hotel to upgrade my room but unfortunately there were no suitable rooms available, I will visit again next April 2025 and I hope to get an excellent room.
Perfect location in the middle of everything – Turki from Saudi Arabia – 24 February 2025 (9/10)
