Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about this place? The address – Vicolo Scanderbeg 46A – sounds all official and intimidating, but honestly, once you find it (which takes about ten minutes of wandering those narrow Roman streets with your luggage), you realize you’ve hit the jackpot. I mean, you’re literally a three-minute walk from the Trevi Fountain, but tucked away on this quiet little side street that most tourists never even notice.
The apartment itself is surprisingly spacious for Rome – two actual bedrooms, not those weird European “bedrooms” that are basically closets with a bed shoved in. The terrace is the real winner though, and I’m not talking about some tiny balcony where you can barely fit a chair. This is a proper outdoor space where you can actually have your morning coffee and people-watch without feeling like you’re about to topple into the street below. The whole setup feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a typical rental, which explains that 8.8 rating – people clearly aren’t just being polite in their reviews.
What really makes this spot work is the neighborhood knowledge you pick up after a day or two. There’s this little bakery around the corner on Via del Tritone that opens ridiculously early, perfect for grabbing cornetti before the tourist crowds descend on Trevi. And here’s something the guidebooks don’t tell you – if you walk to the fountain around 7 AM, you’ll have it almost to yourself, then you can duck back to your terrace and watch the chaos unfold from above with a proper breakfast. The evening routine is just as good, actually better – grab some wine from the enoteca on Via in Arcione (the owner speaks perfect English and knows his stuff), then settle in on the terrace while the fountain crowd thins out below. You can hear the water from up there, which sounds cheesy but is honestly pretty magical after a long day of sightseeing.
The practical stuff matters too, and this place gets it right. Check-in was smooth – no hunting around for keys or dealing with some grumpy landlord who acts like you’re bothering them. The building’s old (this is Rome, everything’s old), but the apartment feels updated without losing that authentic Roman character. Street noise isn’t bad either, which surprised me given how central you are – I guess being on a vicolo instead of a main street makes the difference. Only minor complaint is that the stairs can be a bit much if you’re hauling heavy luggage, but that’s pretty standard for Roman buildings, and the location more than makes up for it.

Comfortable apartment in a great location for touring Rome. – James from United States – 28 March 2025 (8/10)
Well located apartment within walking distance of most major tourist sights in Rome.
What could be improved: Apartment utilities (e.g. lack of hot water initially and non-working floor lamps) were a challenge. However, the management company was very responsive in immediately fixing the hot water issue.Bright apartment in a brilliant location – Nicola from Australia – 28 September 2024 (9/10)
The location is incredible.. two minute walk to the Trevi Fountain and walking distance to all the main attractions of Rome (we took taxi to Vatican).
The hotel was clean, bright and spacious (in comparison to some of the places we stayed on our trip) for the 4 of us and it was great to have the rooftop terrace for a glass of wine. The 3 bathrooms were a bonus.
Lots of stairs to negotiate, so be prepared.
What could be improved: We found the front door locking system a little complicated but it works – might have just been us
Couldn’t order a taxi to the front door for some reason (think it’s restricted car access).Exceptional – Moudy from United States – 3 September 2024 (10/10)
Location is immaculate, right around the corner from the fontana di trevi. Large, spacious, excellent AC, very good high speed internet, would definitely book again.
What could be improved: Nothing. Was absolutely perfect.Superb – Justin from Ireland – 31 March 2024 (9/10)
Very central location. Historical building with a very unique layout.

No lights on terrace.Fantastisch appartement vlakbij de Trevi-fontein – Martin from Netherlands – 11 June 2025 (10/10)
“Alles”
What could be improved: Toch nog wel wat kleine aanbevelingen: vaatdoekjes, afwasborstel, theedoeken, afwasmiddel, extra vuilniszakken waren wel handig geweest.Усе чудово – Olena from Ukraine – 13 May 2025 (10/10)
What could be improved: Якщо плануєте з компанією , на одне ліжко одна ковдра, якщо спите під різними ковдрами – краще замовити додаткові, нам любʼязно принесли і навіть додаткові полотенця. Усе у якості компліменту, без додаткової оплати.Exceptional – Tatiana from Chile – 10 March 2025 (10/10)
