You know what caught me off guard about this place? It’s actually in one of those classic Roman buildings where you can hear the city’s heartbeat from your window, but somehow it doesn’t feel touristy at all. The Best Rent sits right on Via Cavour – and I mean literally on the street where half of Rome seems to walk past on their way to work each morning. When I first walked up to number 108, I was expecting just another generic apartment rental, but stepping inside felt more like staying at a friend’s place who happens to have incredible taste and lives in the perfect spot.

The two-bedroom setup is honestly ideal if you’re traveling with family or friends because there’s actual space to spread out. I mean, you’re not bumping into each other trying to get ready in the morning, which – let’s be real – matters when you’re planning to hit the Colosseum before the crowds arrive. Speaking of which, you can practically roll out of bed and be at the Imperial Forums in about five minutes on foot. But here’s the thing locals know that tourists don’t: early morning on Via Cavour is when you see the real Rome. Shop owners hosing down their storefronts, the smell of fresh cornetti drifting from the corner bar, elderly signoras heading to market with their wheeled carts. The apartment sits right in the middle of Monti neighborhood, which still has that authentic Roman feel even though it’s become pretty popular with visitors.

What really sold me on this place was the attention to detail – the kind of stuff that makes you feel settled rather than just passing through. The kitchen actually has everything you need if you want to grab ingredients from the Monti market and cook dinner instead of eating out for the tenth night in a row. The beds are comfortable (I’m picky about this), and honestly, the whole place feels clean and well-maintained without being sterile. There’s decent WiFi, which matters if you’re trying to plan your days or upload photos that’ll make your friends back home jealous. The building itself has that old Roman character – thick walls that keep things relatively quiet despite being on a busy street, though you’ll still hear the occasional Vespa or animated conversation drifting up from the sidewalk. Check-in was straightforward, none of that awkward waiting around wondering if you’re at the right place. With an 8.3 rating, it’s clearly hitting the mark for most people, and after staying there, I get why. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Rome, but it nails what actually matters: location, comfort, and that feeling like you’re living in the city rather than just visiting it.

  Location is perfect…round the corner from Santa Maria Maggiore basilica and walking distance from Termini Station.
  
  What could be improved: The stay was wonderful overall. If I had to suggest areas for improvement, I would note that the windows are not soundproof (although the location is relatively quiet), and I would prefer if the towels were changed daily.

  El personal está muy pendiente de atender a los huéspedes. El apartamento es cómodo, la cocina tiene todos los utensilios necesarios para cocinar. Las duchas son estupendas, con buena presión de agua. El acceso con el móvil es muy práctico y funciona muy bien.

  Appartement confortable pour 3 personnes (superficie, petit balcon, literie confortable), proche à pied du Colisée.
  Bien que n'étant pas le quartier.le plus touristique, on trouve facilement autour restos et supermarchés.
  
  What could be improved: Environnement assez bruyant, pas forcément spécifique à ce.logement : Rome est globalement bruyante, les bâtiments sont anciens donc assez mal insonorisés.

  La ubicación, puedes llegar caminando al Coliseo Romano (era nuestro principal interés) y muchos sitios arqueológicos y puntos de interés.
  El acceso al edificio mediante ascensor es una gran ventaja cuando viajas con un adulto mayor y eso a veces es muy difícil de encontrar en edificios de Europa en sectores turísticos (hay unas cuantas escaleras que debes subir antes del ascensor).
  Amenities para usar a tu llegada y la comodad de cocina y lavadora son otra ventaja.
  Ubicado cerca de restaurantes y heladerías.
  Recibimos un descuento por parte de The Best Rent (sin haberlo solicitado) pues reportamos falta de agua caliente la noche anterior a nuestra salida. Fue una grata respuesta que demuestra la vocación de excelencia por parte de los rentadores.

  A localização do apartamento é muito boa, próxima ao Coliseu e à estações de trem e de metrô. Tivemos um problema com o ar condicionado, mas a equipe conseguiu resolver.
  
  What could be improved: Não podemos avaliar o apartamento do anúncio, pois ao chegar fomos trocados para outro da mesma empresa, com estrutura bastante semelhante. Deixou a desejar na limpeza e nas comodidades, como o terraço que estava todo sujo e com os móveis jogados, além de ter entrada pelo corredor do prédio e não por dentro do apartamento. Exigem que a louça seja lavada no fim da estadia, mas não oferecem detergente, por exemplo, mesmo quando soicitado.
