You know what really surprised me about The Best Rent? It’s actually in this gorgeous three-bedroom apartment right on Via delle Quattro Fontane, and I mean, you’re literally walking distance from the Quirinale Palace – which sounds fancy until you realize it just means you’re smack in the middle of everything that matters in Rome. The location is honestly perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in the city rather than just visiting it.

The apartment itself feels surprisingly spacious for Rome (and trust me, space is a luxury here). Three proper bedrooms means you’re not cramming everyone into some tiny hotel room, and there’s actually room to spread out your stuff – something you’ll appreciate after a few days of lugging around shopping bags from Via del Corso. I loved that you could grab coffee in the morning and walk to the Trevi Fountain before the crowds hit, or wander over to the Spanish Steps without dealing with metro schedules. The neighborhood has this authentic Roman residential vibe during the day, but then you realize you’re five minutes from some of the best restaurants near Piazza Barberini.

What really won me over was how the whole setup just works for travelers. The building is on a relatively quiet stretch – well, as quiet as central Rome gets – so you’re not dealing with constant street noise, but you step outside and boom, you’re connected to everything. Via delle Quattro Fontane connects you straight to the major sights, and honestly, after staying in some pretty cramped Roman hotels, having a full apartment with a kitchen was a game-changer. You can actually buy groceries at the local markets (there’s a great one near Termini) and cook breakfast instead of paying €15 for cappuccino and cornetto every morning. The whole experience feels more like temporarily moving to Rome than just passing through, which I think is what makes this place special. Plus, with a 9 rating, clearly other people have figured out what I did – sometimes the best way to experience a city is to live in it, even if it’s just for a few days.

  What could be improved: Washing machine leaked, one of the shower also not working on arrival. They came and fixed them. But water pressure was very weak in the whole apartment.
