You know what caught me off guard about The Best Rent? It’s actually much more spacious than most Roman apartments I’ve stayed in – and I mean properly spacious, not just “spacious by European standards.” The place sits right on Via Enrico Cialdini, which sounds intimidating if you don’t know Rome, but it’s honestly one of those perfect spots where you’re close enough to Termini that you can literally roll out of bed and catch your train, but far enough that you’re not dealing with all the chaos and, well, let’s be honest, the slightly sketchy vibe that comes with being right on top of the station.

The apartment itself feels like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile rental – there’s character in the details, you know? The kitchen is properly equipped (I’m talking real knives and pans that aren’t warped), and the windows are tall enough that you get decent light even though you’re in the city center. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays at night, which is sort of miraculous considering you’re walking distance from one of Europe’s busiest train stations. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel – there’s a fantastic little bakery about two blocks down on Via Gioberti that locals actually use, and you’ll find yourself picking up morning cornetti there instead of whatever overpriced tourist traps are near the Colosseum.

I mean, look, it’s a solid 3-star place with an 8 rating, so don’t expect marble bathrooms or a concierge, but that’s honestly part of what makes it work. Check-in was straightforward – no fuss, no trying to upsell you on city tours you don’t want. The location is what really sells it though, because you’re genuinely central without paying central Rome prices. You can walk to Santa Maria Maggiore in maybe ten minutes, hop the metro to anywhere you need to go, and when you come back exhausted from trudging around the Forum all day, you’re not facing another hour-long journey back to some suburb. Plus, and this matters if you’re traveling with luggage, the building has a proper elevator – not one of those terrifying cage things that barely fits one person and a backpack.

  Location and unit were great.
  
  What could be improved: The master bathroom smelled like a sewer, they had obviously tried to mitigate the smell but it didn't work. Luckily we could leave the windows open.
  All of the other apartments on booking.com charged 10% VAT for some reason this one charged 22% which i thought was an error but they said it was not.

  The apartment is incredibly close to Termini station which is very convenient for traveling using train, metro or busses. Termini also has many shops, restaurants and services all there. The apartment had an enclosed entry with plenty of trash cans and an elevator. The home amenities were good, including sufficient AC (at least early April), small washer/dryer, dishwasher, TVs, good internet and a functional kitchen. The staff was responsive on WhatsApp.
  
  What could be improved: The second bathroom was used minimally because the showerhead sprayed weird, and the drain smelled terrible (we just covered the drain with a towel the whole week). The area around Termini is more grimy.

  Lovely place located right next to Termini.
  Very spacious. Easy to check in.
  Friendly and responsive hosts.
  Flexible check out time.
  Kitchen was well stocked.

  What could be improved: When we first arrived the whole place had a weird smell, but it went away after airing it out for a couple of hours. The toilets wasn’t very pleasant and the showers did not work well. Water was either too hot or freezing cold.

  What could be improved: El proceso de ingreso. No teniamos acceso a Internet y no audios pagar el impuesto.. No podiamos ingresar al departamento, a pearl que habiamos pagado el alojamiento y la garantia.
  Fuel un problema fuerte, hubo descompensación por el estres . Estuvimos esperando casi 3 horas.
  Creo que deben de ser un servicio más personal y no actuar cómo máquinas.
  Entender que eramos personas mayores de 65 años.

  Dogodna lokalizacja (tuż obok stacji Termini), idealna baza wypadowa do zwiedzania Rzymu.
  Duża przestrzeń – byliśmy w 6 dorosłych + 2 dzieci i nie było tłoku.
  Apartament dobrze wyposażony – TV, kuchenka, zmywarka, ekspres do kawy, szybkie WiFi, klimatyzacja w każdym pomieszczeniu. W pobliżu sklepy, restauracje.
  Dla każdego zestawy kosmetyków do kąpieli i kapci.
  Bardzo dobry kontakt z właścicielem (np. jak zabrakło kapsułek do zmywarki to błyskawicznie były dostarczone).
  
  What could be improved: Bardzo niewygodna rozkładana kanapa w salonie (na szczęście spały na niej dzieci i dla nich było okej; dla dorosłego to męczarnia).
  Uszkodzona głowica prysznicowa w jednej z łazienek (jak widzę po innych komentarzach od co najmniej kilku miesięcy bez naprawy), co sprawiło, że 8 osób korzystało z jednej łazienki.
  Smród kanalizacji z obu łazienek.
  Niebezpieczne otoczenie – na ulicach kilka metrów od apartamentu dużo bezdomnych, narkomanów i imigrantów.
