Hotel Description
Look, I’ve stayed at my fair share of Roman hotels, and the Terrazza Marco Antonio genuinely surprised me. It’s tucked away on Via Quattro Fontane – you know, that street that slopes down from the Quirinal Palace – and honestly, the location couldn’t be better if you tried. You’re literally a three-minute walk from the Trevi Fountain, which means you can slip out early morning or late evening to avoid the crowds (trust me on this one). The Spanish Steps are maybe eight minutes away, and if you’re the type who likes to walk everywhere, you’ll hit all the major sites without breaking a sweat.
The suite itself? Well, it’s actually a suite – not one of those places that slaps the word on a slightly larger room. I mean, you’ve got proper space to spread out, which is rare in Rome’s centro storico. The terrace (hence the name, I suppose) overlooks the neighborhood’s terracotta rooftops, and there’s something really lovely about having your morning coffee out there while listening to the city wake up. The décor strikes that sweet spot between elegant and comfortable – you’re not afraid to actually use the furniture, if you know what I mean. They’ve got this attention to detail that shows… maybe it’s the way the bathroom amenities are arranged, or how the lighting actually makes sense for reading in bed.
What really won me over, though, was how the staff treated the place like they genuinely cared about it. Check-in was smooth – none of that awkward hovering while they figure out their system. The woman at reception knew the neighborhood inside and out, gave me restaurant recommendations that weren’t just the obvious tourist traps. She mentioned that little enoteca around the corner on Via del Tritone that I never would’ve found otherwise. Parking’s always a nightmare in this part of Rome, but they sorted that out too without making it feel like a huge favor. The area does get busy during peak season – I was there in late April and the streets were already pretty crowded by 10 AM – but honestly, that’s Rome for you. At least you’re close enough to duck back to your room if you need a break from the chaos. The only minor thing was that the elevator’s a bit slow, but that’s pretty standard for these older Roman buildings, and it beats hauling luggage up four flights of stairs. With a 9.2 rating, I wasn’t surprised by the quality, but I was pleasantly surprised by how… authentic it felt? Like staying at a well-appointed apartment rather than a generic hotel room.

We loved everything from the great welcome from Flávio and staff, I forgot my charger and was given one to use until we left. Bed was so huge and comfortable, beautiful balcony to sit out, breakfast was lovely sitting out there in the mornings, it was so quite, the bathroom was great with powerful shower and jacuzzi, plus a great hairdryer, it’s in a great location with everything very near. Ps great big tv with Netflix etc after a day of walking, we will be back for sure!

Very friendly staff! You can set up your ideal breakfast, even if you’d like to have 2 coffees instead of regular 1 for example. It is brought to your door exactly on time requested.
Perfect spot to discover Rome and quiet place in the evenings.
