Hotel Description
Experience the charm of authentic Roman hospitality at Stasera a casa da M.E., a delightful 3-star boutique accommodation nestled in the historic Appio Latino district of Rome. This gem of a hotel has earned an exceptional 9.1 rating from satisfied guests, placing it among the most highly-acclaimed accommodations in Italy’s eternal city. Located at 268 Via Tuscolana, the hotel offers visitors the perfect balance between accessibility to Rome’s iconic attractions and an opportunity to experience the genuine local lifestyle away from the typical tourist paths.
Situated in the vibrant Appio Latino neighborhood, Stasera a casa da M.E. provides a gateway to discovering Rome’s lesser-known treasures. The hotel’s location on Via Tuscolana places guests within easy reach of the ancient Appian Way (Via Appia Antica), one of the earliest and most strategically important Roman roads. The nearby Parco della Caffarella offers a serene green escape from the urban bustle, while the magnificent Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano—the oldest and highest ranking of the four papal major basilicas—is just a short journey away. The area is well-connected by public transportation, including the nearby metro stations, making it convenient to access iconic landmarks such as the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Vatican City. Guests particularly appreciate the authentic neighborhood restaurants, cafes, and markets surrounding the hotel, where one can savor genuine Roman cuisine and observe local daily life without the inflated prices of more tourist-centric areas.
What sets Stasera a casa da M.E. apart, as reflected in its outstanding 9.1 rating, is the personalized and warm service that makes guests feel truly at home—a sentiment beautifully captured in the hotel’s name itself, which translates to “Tonight at home with M.E.” This boutique accommodation seamlessly blends Italian charm with modern comforts, creating an intimate atmosphere that larger chain hotels simply cannot replicate. The attentive staff excel at providing insider recommendations for exploring both famous sites and hidden corners of Rome, ensuring visitors experience the city like a local rather than a tourist. Despite being a 3-star establishment, the hotel has garnered praise for its immaculate cleanliness, thoughtful amenities, and attention to detail. The rooms, though typical of European city accommodations in size, are elegantly appointed with touches of traditional Italian design, creating comfortable sanctuaries for rest after days spent exploring the eternal city’s cobblestone streets and magnificent antiquities. For travelers seeking an authentic Roman experience with exceptional value, genuine hospitality, and easy access to both iconic landmarks and local treasures, Stasera a casa da M.E. stands as a superlative choice, promising memories that will last long after the journey ends.

A place to eat with the locals… perfect location; metro and bus accessible within feet. Maria is the perfect host making you feel like you’re really going to a friend’s house… and whips up a heck of a cappuccino. Clean room, great WiFi, safe area with many gelaterias around! Enjoy 😉

Maria who owns the flat is a wonderful person. Always helpful, caring and at the same time cheerful!
The flat was very clean and comfortable. Large bathroom including bathtub, comfortable bed. The room had all the necessary things. The flat has a brilliant location: on one side there is the train station, on the other the metro and under the flat itself there is a bus stop which takes you to the centre of Rome.
Thank you for a wonderful stay! We will definitely be back🥰Martin from Estonia (10/10)
Excellent host, very kind and helpful. Location is also very comfortable – less than 10 minutes from metro and 2 minutes from bus stop to centre.

The breakfast was super great! Maria prepared in an authentic Italian style. She was so helpful in helping us with the travel when we arrived. And it's superb to enjoy your morning coffee on the balcony. With the metro, the city center is about 10 minutes away. If we came back to Rome 100% to her.
