  Both the bedroom and the kitchen are really big and the bed was very comfortable so I slept really well. The apartment is in a grand building on a quiet leafy street, 5 minutes away from a bus stop. There is a small, well stocked supermarket next door, which is open 7 days a week. There are several excellent restaurants and pizzerias within the walking distance. Last but not least, the owner, Franco is a very welcoming and charming host. He was always prepared to supply any item needed and to give helpful information.

  Firstly, the apartment is in a very peaceful and more upmarket residential neighbourhood (Prati) – it's just outside the hustle and bustle of the Rome tourist areas. Still within walking distance (~2.5Km of many attractions). Even though we stayed during the hottest part of August (which can be brutal in Rome) the air conditioning in the unit is excellent so even with the heat we were very comfortable. Then the view from the balconies are unexpectedly pleasing and romantic. Great for morning coffees and sunsets before the day gets too hot. Also, another great feature is there's a Carrefour grocery store right underneath the unit which was super convenient. The unit does have a large kitchen /sitting room so you could cook in it, and given we were in Rome we chose to eat out.
  
  Finally, one of the most intriguing aspects of our stay was meeting Franco, the host. He is such an character and had wonderful stories about his various careers and life experiences and the places he'd lived in the world. He speaks excellent English and Italian (and I think) Spanish too, and was a very gracious host. He met us personally at the door, even though we were delayed/late arriving, and he personally showed us around all the aspects of the apartment, and gave us recommendations and answers to our questions. In short, he's a fascinating person. He has collected some very unique things in the unit (e.g. the pencil artwork on the front door, and the mirror in the bedroom) – so definitely ask him about those.

  Franco is a great host. Very attentive to our needs. The apartment is within walking distance to the Vatican and has some good places to eat nearby. It was hot in Rome and the apartment had great air-conditioning.

  The property was very clean and includes the basic amenities you would come to expect. The rooms are big and open, working kitchen, bathroom, aircon and two balconies. Very comfortable to stay in. The host Franco was very helpful throughout my stay and was able to help me throughout my trip, like getting cheaper tickets for the Vatican Museum, his English is very good, couldn’t ask for a better host. Great money for value, I was here for 9 days and had no issues at all. Would come again. You can also find on Airbnb.

  Friendly owner. He has even helped to find a parking spot for our car around the house. Big flat with two balconies. Good for view and smokers 😉 There are really big one bedroom and one kitchen. Carrefour just next to the flat.
