Hotel Description
Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first walked up to Via della Purificazione – it’s one of those narrow Roman streets that feels almost residential, tucked just off the famous Via Veneto. But Spanish Diamond Luxury Style turned out to be exactly the kind of find that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special. The entrance is on the primo piano (first floor for us Americans), and I’ll admit the setup feels more like visiting a sophisticated friend’s apartment than checking into a typical hotel. You know what I mean – there’s this intimate, almost secretive quality that a lot of Rome’s best places have.
The location is actually brilliant once you realize what you’re working with. Via Veneto is literally around the corner, which means you’re steps away from some of the city’s most elegant cafes and that whole Dolce Vita atmosphere, but you’re not dealing with the tourist chaos or street noise that comes with being right on the main drag. I could walk to the Spanish Steps in about ten minutes, and the Villa Borghese gardens are even closer – perfect for morning runs or just escaping the city heat. The Barberini metro stop is super close too, though honestly, most of central Rome is walkable from here. What really struck me was how the neighborhood feels authentically Roman. There’s a little alimentari on the corner where the owner actually remembers your face after a couple days, and the morning routine of locals grabbing their cappuccinos creates this lovely sense of rhythm.
The rooms themselves have this refined elegance that feels genuinely luxurious without being stuffy – sort of like staying in a beautifully appointed Roman apartment rather than a cookie-cutter hotel room. The attention to detail is impressive; everything from the linens to the lighting feels thoughtfully chosen. I mean, with a 9.7 rating, you’d expect quality, but it’s the little touches that make the difference. The staff genuinely seems to care about your experience, not in that over-the-top way that feels forced, but more like they’re proud of the place and want you to love it too. Parking can be tricky in this part of Rome (it’s an old city center, after all), but they’ll help you figure out the best options nearby. The only minor thing I’d mention is that because it’s in a historic building, don’t expect huge rooms – but honestly, when you’re in Rome, you want to be out exploring anyway. The combination of the prime location, genuine hospitality, and that sense of discovering something special rather than just booking another hotel room makes this place feel like a real find. It’s the kind of spot where you end up extending your stay if you can swing it.

A perfect stay in the heart of Rome—beautiful apartment, amazing host, and unforgettable hospitality. – Antonio from United States – 10 June 2025 (10/10)
We had a wonderful stay at Spanish Diamond Luxury in Rome. The location is absolutely fantastic—just steps away from everything you’d want to see and experience in the city. The apartment itself was spacious, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable.
Elena was truly a pleasure to deal with. She communicated frequently and clearly, letting us know exactly what to expect before and during our stay. She even stopped by to personally deliver a delicious torte as a gift—such a thoughtful gesture!
We had a few minor requests during our visit, and Elena responded quickly and took care of everything immediately.
This apartment is a gem—great location, generous space, excellent hospitality. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to others visiting Rome.

What could be improved: Maybe having instructions on how to get rid of garbage during stay would be a good idea.Great location and apartment ideal for short stay. – Darrell from Australia – 7 April 2025 (9/10)
Great location, easy access to the apartment. Communication prompt and helpful for local activities. The only down side was the easy to lift, customer had to negotiate a number of stair before arriving at the lift. Not ideal for mobility challenged people.

The best place to stay in Rome if you are 4-5 people. Perfect location, very close to the Spanish steps and Trevi, but very quite and peacful. The apartment is big, clean and has everything you need inside. The host is very kind and responsive.

A Perfect Stay in Rome ! – David from Switzerland – 22 February 2025 (10/10)
We had a wonderful stay in this apartment. It is very well equipped, clean, spacious, and extremely comfortable. Moreover, it is perfectly located, close to several tourist attractions in Rome, in a very quiet neighborhood where it is peaceful at night. It was perfect for our stay ! The apartment is also well connected, with nearby metro and bus stops that make it easy to reach other parts of the city. The hosts were very friendly and gave us a warm welcome with plenty of tips and recommendations for visiting Rome. They were also very accommodating, especially upon our arrival, allowing us to drop off our luggage before check-in. I highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking to visit Rome with family or friends. We are completely satisfied !

– strategic location
– easy check-in and out
– host was easily contactable, very understanding and generous (gifted us with many welcome treats and also provided us various recommendations on local eateries) :))
What could be improved: – wifi only worked in the living room and not in the bedrooms but wasn’t really a big issue for us
