Hotel Description
So I’ve stayed at room Select Via Veneto a handful of times now, and honestly, it’s one of those places that just gets Rome right. The location on Via Piemonte is actually perfect – you’re literally in the heart of Via Veneto without being right on the main drag where all the tourist chaos happens. I mean, you can walk to the Spanish Steps in about ten minutes, but you’re tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with crowds outside your door at midnight.
The thing about this place is it feels authentically Roman in a way that’s hard to fake. The lobby has this understated elegance – marble floors that echo just enough to remind you you’re in Italy, but the staff actually remembers your name after the first day. I’ve noticed they tend to put returning guests in the corner rooms on higher floors, which honestly have the best views toward Villa Borghese. The rooms themselves are what you’d expect from a solid 4-star – clean lines, good lighting, and those heavy curtains that actually block out the morning sun (you’ll thank me for this detail if you’re jet-lagged). The bathrooms are surprisingly spacious for Rome, and the water pressure is consistently good, which… well, if you’ve stayed in older Roman hotels, you know that’s not always a given.
What really sets this place apart is how they handle the little things. Check-in is usually smooth even when you arrive early – they’ll often have your room ready by noon if you ask nicely. The breakfast spreads are solid without being overwhelming, and they make a proper cappuccino, not that burnt hotel coffee you get at some places. You know what I really appreciate? They keep the air conditioning running properly even in shoulder seasons when some hotels get stingy with it. The neighborhood itself is fantastic for evening walks – Via Veneto has that old Hollywood glamour thing going on, especially around aperitivo time when the locals start filling up the sidewalk cafés. You’re also close enough to Termini that getting to and from the airport is straightforward, but far enough away that you don’t hear the train noise. Parking is typical Rome chaos, but the front desk knows which garages give hotel guest discounts, and they’ll actually call ahead for you. I’d say the only minor downside is that some of the street-facing rooms can get a bit noisy on weekend nights – Romans love their evening conversations – but honestly, that’s part of the charm. The 8.4 rating feels about right; it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury, but it delivers exactly what you want from a well-run Roman hotel in one of the city’s most iconic neighborhoods.

Lovely hotel, room very comfortable and clean. Great location! – Rosie from United Kingdom – 11 June 2025 (7/10)
Hotel was clean and comfortable. Staff at the reception were friendly though when we arrived felt a bit chaotic & there wasn’t many people checking in.
What could be improved: Please invest in some irons / more steamers! We asked 3 times and didn’t get one that worked!I recommend this trendy hotel on walking distance from the park and city center. – Chloë from Belgium – 29 May 2025 (8/10)
Good location, walking distance from the park and from several hotspots in town. Quiet neighbourhood.
Hotel is trendy, comfortable bed, nice bathroom.
Staff was very friendly, I really enjoyed my stay and I would recommend this place for solo travelers and couples.
What could be improved: There is only one thing: I stayed in a room on the top floor and I couldn't open the blinds so there was no day light. It didn't bother me that much but if you want to rest a little bit in the afternoon, it would be nice if there's some daylight. I think this applies only to rooms on the top floor.Very good – Alan from United Kingdom – 19 May 2025 (8/10)
Staff and location
What could be improved: Square shower head facing wall so impossible to use. Went for hand held instead. Also noise from other rooms very audible.Very good – Sara from France – 5 May 2025 (8/10)
It was a good facility with a decent breakfast (10€ p.p.) and staff was lovely.
Stylish hotel with excellent service, in a quiet and upscale area of Rome – Ilanaw from Brazil – 5 May 2025 (9/10)
"The hotel staff was kind and welcoming. Special thanks to the lovely Kiril, who was professional, courteous, and did everything he could to provide us with excellent service. The hotel is located about a 10-minute walk from the Spanish Steps, in an upscale, quiet, and pleasant area. Our room was especially spacious, with high ceilings and soundproof windows. A charming hotel with an exceptionally attentive and friendly staff."
What could be improved: The only thing missing in the room was an espresso machine.Good – Judit from United Kingdom – 20 April 2025 (7/10)
Bed was very comfortable. Location was good. Far from the centre but it was worth for the price.
Staff were extremely nice and helpful.
What could be improved: We had a problem with a hot water.
The staff and later on the management handled the problem very well so we can't complain.Superb – Choutea from Greece – 14 April 2025 (9/10)
Our choice proved to be an excellent one!
The personnel were very friendly and willing to help; the location is very good, because you can have access to most of the monuments by public transportation. We would definitely recommend it and any time we come back to room would be our priority to book there again.
