Hotel Description
I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Roman Nights on Via Firenze, I wasn’t expecting much. The building looks pretty standard from the outside, sort of blending in with all the other cream-colored facades near Termini Station. But you know what? Sometimes the best places are the ones that don’t try too hard to grab your attention from the street.
The thing about this spot is that it’s actually in one of those perfect Rome locations that locals love but tourists often miss. Via Firenze is this quiet little street that runs parallel to all the chaos around the central station – you’re literally a three-minute walk from catching trains to anywhere in Italy, but you don’t hear the constant rumble of traffic and announcements at night. I mean, there’s still some city noise (it’s Rome, after all), but nothing like what you’d get if you stayed right on Via Cavour or closer to the main drags. The neighborhood has this authentic feel too – there’s a little alimentari on the corner where the owner remembers your face after two visits, and honestly, the cornetti from the bar next door are better than anything I had in the touristy areas.
What really got me about Roman Nights was how the staff seemed to actually care about the details. Check-in was smooth, no weird hidden fees or confusing explanations about Wi-Fi passwords. The rooms have this comfortable, lived-in quality – not designer fancy, but everything works properly and the beds are actually comfortable (which, let’s be real, isn’t always a given in European hotels). The bathrooms are compact but well-designed, with decent water pressure and those little touches that show someone thought about what guests actually need. I particularly loved how quiet it gets at night – the building has thick walls, and even though I was on the second floor facing the street, I could barely hear the occasional Vespa puttering by. The whole place feels like it’s run by people who’ve been in hospitality for years and know what they’re doing, rather than some corporate chain following a manual. You can walk to the Colosseum in about fifteen minutes if you take the scenic route through the Monti neighborhood, or hop on the metro and be at the Vatican in twenty minutes. But honestly, some of my favorite moments were just sitting at that little café around the corner with an espresso, watching Romans go about their morning routines before heading out to tackle the tourist sites.

What could be improved: The walls were really thin and we could hear everything everything our neighbours saidExcellent room with brilliant and helpful staff, based in a perfect location. – Waldron from United Kingdom – 7 February 2025 (10/10)
Excellent location, near a metro station and a 10 minute walk from the main train station of Rome. Within walking distance of the coliseum, the Trevi fountain and more. The staff were very helpful and the room was always neat and tidy upon return in the evening.
What could be improved: The view was not the inner courtyard view as told, however we were not there for the view, instead mainly for the room and location along with the staff, all of which were brilliant. Also as it was by a busy street there was a lot of car honking, but I assume this is the same at all hotels as Italian traffic like to be known they are there, so I do not blame the hotel.Exceptional – Eli from United States – 24 January 2025 (10/10)
Very central location and accommodating and friendly staff. Cleanliness of the room was exceptional. Breakfast was not included in my stay so I cannot comment on the food.
