Roma Imperial Suites Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Roma Imperial Suites feels like discovering a well-kept secret in the Aurelio district. This four-star property sits quietly on Via Ludovico Micara, and honestly, the location surprised me — you’re in one of Rome‘s top-rated neighborhoods without the tourist chaos that comes with staying near the Colosseum. The building itself has that understated Roman elegance, and when you reach the fourth floor, you realize you’ve found something special.
The Neighborhood Advantage
Here’s what I love about Aurelio — it’s where Romans actually live. You’ll find authentic trattorias just around the corner, and the morning coffee ritual at the local bars feels genuine, not performative. The Vatican is surprisingly close (closer than you’d think from most central hotels, actually), and you can reach the historic center easily without dealing with the crowds every time you step outside. There’s parking on site too, which anyone who’s driven in Rome will tell you is basically a miracle.
The Suite Experience
The suites here live up to their name — these aren’t just hotel rooms with a sitting area tacked on. Each suite feels thoughtfully designed, with enough space to actually unpack and settle in for a few days. The kitchenette setup is practical if you want to grab fresh ingredients from the local market (there’s a great one about ten minutes away), though honestly, with Rome’s food scene right outside, you might not use it much. The bathrooms are modern and well-appointed, with that satisfying European shower pressure that makes you want to linger.
What Sets It Apart
The staff here gets it — they understand that travelers want local insights, not just directions to the obvious tourist spots. They’ll point you toward the family-run restaurant that doesn’t have English menus but serves the best carbonara in the neighborhood, or tell you which bus line actually runs on time. The building maintains that quiet, residential feel even though you’re in a hotel, and the other guests tend to be couples and travelers who’ve done their research rather than large tour groups. The attention to detail throughout the property creates an atmosphere of refined comfort.
Why Guests Love It
That 9.0 rating makes sense once you’ve stayed here — it’s the kind of place that exceeds expectations without trying too hard. Couples especially seem to appreciate the balance of privacy and accessibility (that 8.2 location score from couples tells the story). You’re close enough to everything that matters, but far enough from the madness to actually enjoy your evenings. The Aurelio location means you’ll experience Rome more like a temporary resident than a tourist, and after a few days, you’ll understand why locals are so protective of neighborhoods like this. This is where authentic Roman hospitality truly shines.
Best hotels in Rome blend frescoed salons, rooftop terraces, and chef-curated tasting menus.

Cameron from United Kingdom (9/10)
Very well kept, beautiful interior, all questions answered and advice given when we needed to ask!
Local to bus stops, fairly local to the metro making travelling super easy. Not too far out of the city but fairly quiet at night which was good for us.
Overall excellent thank you again!Piotr from Poland (9/10)
Clean and well-equipped rooms, easy communication with the property- there were some issues, but they were related to the building (power outage) rather than the property itself. The room was cleaned daily. The photos of the room are true to reality.

James from United Kingdom (9/10)
The room was lovely very good size bathroom very clean and modern. Perfect location only 2 minute walk to bus stop when you can get a bus straight to Vatican city for less then 2 euros and they run regularly. All main historic attractions are easily reached through public transport if required. Rome is a very nice place to stay for 4 nights plenty to see. My wife and I would definitely stay at Roma Imperial suites again if we came back to Rome I could not fault the place. We met a Ukraine lady there who I think was the owner very helpful and polite.

Giada was extremely helpful and even gave us advice on where to eat! The service was exceptional and the staff was very kind and helpful!!! Fully recommended!! Will definitely stay there again if I visit Rome. The location was good – next to a bus stop – takes 20 minutes to get to the centre. The room was clean and had a balcony where you were allowed to smoke as well.
