Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Rhoome Holiday 1? The location is absolutely killer – and I mean that in the best way possible. It’s tucked right into Via Labicana in Monti, which honestly feels like you’ve discovered Rome’s best-kept secret. I’m talking about a five-minute walk to the Colosseum (seriously, you can practically see it from some windows), but you’re staying in this incredibly authentic neighborhood that most tourists just walk through without really noticing.
The hotel itself has this modern boutique vibe that actually works with the historic surroundings instead of fighting against them. The rooms are sleek – think clean lines and smart design – but they’ve managed to keep some character. What I really appreciated was the attention to details that matter when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days. The shower pressure is excellent (trust me, this matters after walking around Rome all day), and the air conditioning works properly, which isn’t always a given in historic buildings. The staff genuinely knows their stuff about the area too – they pointed me toward this little enoteca on Via del Boschetto that I never would have found otherwise.
But here’s the thing about staying in Monti that makes this place special: you’re living like a local. In the morning, you’ll hear the espresso machine firing up at the corner bar, and by evening, the narrow streets fill up with Romans heading out for aperitivo. It’s got that perfect balance – touristy enough that you don’t feel completely out of place, but authentic enough that you’re not surrounded by other hotel guests everywhere you go. The Cavour metro stop is literally around the corner, which means you can easily hit up the Vatican or Trastevere, then come back to what feels like your own little Roman neighborhood. And honestly? The 9.3 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s one of those places where everything just works the way it should.

We visited Rome as a big family with a 1 y/o baby. Words can not describe our gratitude towards the owners, who not only fulfilled all our requests, but went even further to make our stay most comfortable – including a VERY early check-in! Anyway, the apartment was brand new, clean and well-equipped. The owner gave us recommendations for a few very nice restaurants around the corner. Thank you for everything!
