Look, I’ve stayed in my fair share of Rome accommodations, and Remember Vatican Apartment is honestly one of those places that just gets it right. You know what I mean? It’s tucked away on Via Ottaviano – which, if you’re not familiar with Rome’s layout, is basically that perfect sweet spot where you’re close enough to walk to St. Peter’s without dealing with the absolute chaos of the tourist epicenter. I mean, you’re literally a seven-minute stroll from Vatican City, but you’re also surrounded by actual Romans going about their daily business, which makes all the difference.

The apartment itself has this lived-in elegance that’s hard to find – not that sterile hotel vibe, but not someone’s messy personal space either. The rooms are spacious (and I mean actually spacious, not “European spacious” where you can barely open your suitcase), with these gorgeous high ceilings that make you feel like you’re living in a proper Roman palazzo. The kitchen is fully equipped, which honestly saved me a fortune because eating out for every meal in Rome will drain your wallet faster than you’d think. Plus, there’s this little local market on Via Cola di Rienzo – maybe a three-minute walk – where you can grab fresh produce and those incredible Roman pastries for breakfast. The building itself is one of those classic Roman structures with thick walls, so you don’t hear much street noise, even though Ottaviano can get pretty lively during the day with all the foot traffic heading to the Vatican.

What really sets this place apart though – and why I think it’s earned that 9.5 rating – is the attention to detail without being fussy about it. The Wi-Fi actually works (trust me, this isn’t a given in Rome), the shower has proper water pressure, and there’s air conditioning that doesn’t sound like a helicopter landing on your roof. The host was incredibly responsive when I had questions, but not in that hovering way that makes you feel like you’re being watched. They also left these thoughtful local recommendations that weren’t just the obvious tourist spots – like this incredible family-run trattoria about five blocks away that I never would have found otherwise. The metro stop is right there too, so getting to the Colosseum or Spanish Steps is ridiculously easy, but honestly, I found myself walking most places because this neighborhood has such a great energy. It’s got that authentic Roman residential feel during the evenings when the Vatican crowds thin out, but during the day you’re connected to everything. I’d definitely stay here again – actually, I’m already planning my next Rome trip around whether this place is available.

  The location was great for visiting the Vatican but also close to a Metro station. Comfortable and we felt at home there; recently renovated. The owner was very helpful with advice before and during our stay.

  Apartment has a really nice location close to Vaticano Museums and Saint Peter’s Cathedral. Ottaviano metro station is also really close. Ottaviano street itself was recently converted to pedestrian, there is a tram line on the street which is not functioning now (Jan 2025).
  
  Apartment itself looks fresh. Has three bathrooms, equipped kitchen, air conditioner in each room which provides both heating and cooling. Hair dryer, iron and tabletop iron board. Windows block noice from the street, curtains are black-out. No noisy neighbors spotted too. So in general everything is nice for comfortable sleep.

  Apartament położony tuż przy metrze Ottaviano. Na Plac Świętego Piotra spacerkiem max 10 minut. Także lokalizacja bardzo dobra. Okna z jednej sypialni wychodzą na via Ottaviano, która jest deptakiem zamkniętym dla ruchu. Okna drugiej sypialni wychodzą na wewnętrzny dziedziniec z klimatyzatorami.
  Wyposażenie i udogodnienia w samym apartamencie bez zarzutu. Bardzo przyjemne i nowoczesne miejsce. Łóżka bardzo duże i bardzo wygodne. Cristina nawet żelazko dla nas zostawiła 🙂 3 łazienki z 3 prysznicami to bardzo duży atut przy 4 kobietach, choć użytkowanie jednocześnie wszystkich trzech pryszniców powoduje, że przestaje lecieć ciepła woda i trzeba trochę odczekać, aby znów się nagrzała. Jednak ogólnie nie ma na co narzekać. Mi osobiście bardzo podobał się zapach żelu pod prysznic 🙂 kontakt z właścicielem bardzo dobry – żadnych problemów z zameldowaniem. Po wymeldowaniu mogłyśmy zostawić bagaże w innym miejscu, gdzie właściciele wynajmują pokoje i odebrać je o dogodnej dla nas godzinie.
  Ja zdecydowanie polecam to miejsce i z przyjemnością kiedyś jeszcze z niego skorzystam 🙂
