Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Relais Donna Lucrezia? Walking up to the second floor on Via Emilia (yeah, it’s not ground level, but honestly that’s pretty typical for Roman boutique places), I realized I was staying in one of those perfectly positioned spots that locals probably walk past every day without thinking twice. You’re literally a two-minute stroll from Via Veneto – and I mean the real Via Veneto, not just some side street that claims to be near it.
The thing about this place is it gets the Rome experience right without trying too hard. The rooms have that lived-in elegance that actually feels Italian rather than some designer’s idea of what Italian should look like. I stayed there in late spring, and mornings were perfect – you could hear the city waking up through the windows, but it wasn’t that jarring traffic noise you get on some of the main drags. The staff genuinely seemed to know the neighborhood, too. When I asked about breakfast spots, they didn’t just hand me a tourist map – they actually told me which café around the corner makes the best cornetti (and they were right, by the way). The check-in was smooth, though I’d recommend calling ahead if you’re arriving late since it’s not one of those massive hotels with 24-hour desk service.
What really sells this place for me is the location intelligence – you’re close enough to walk to the Trevi Fountain or Spanish Steps when you want to do the tourist thing, but you’re also in a part of Rome where actual Romans live and work. I found myself grabbing aperitivos at places that weren’t listed in any guidebook, just because I could wander around the neighborhood and stumble onto them. The Via Veneto area has this interesting mix of old-school Roman glamour and everyday life that you don’t get in, say, Trastevere where everything feels a bit performed for visitors. Parking can be a nightmare if you’re driving (I mean, it’s Rome), but the metro connections are solid and honestly, you’ll want to walk everywhere anyway. The 9.2 rating makes sense – it’s not flashy luxury, but it’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re staying in Rome rather than just visiting it.

Comfortable, touches of old world style in antique furniture, sumptuous breakfast spread, friendly staff, pastries available throughout the day. We felt welcome as if we were coming home.

Room no 1 was amazing – a beautiful and large room on the corner of the building, with shutters, blinds and a balcony.
The breakfast was soo nice. Nelson and team did a stirling job to make everything delicious – I even had milk free products as i’m intollerant to cows milk. Nelson’s scrambled eggs are the best I’ve ever had!Penyo from Bulgaria (10/10)
Everything was excellent, a charming hotel at the best possible location, especially for business travelers like me (Via Veneto). The staff is beyond nice and professional, the room was clean and well furnished, the bathroom was spotless, and the wi-fi connection was strong and stable. They offer an excellent breakfast, and there are snacks in the minibar. My vote is 11 out of 10, I'm looking forward to staying there again next time I'll be in Rome.

A nice guesthouse with very friendly staff. Our room was a good size and fit a camping bed for our baby, provided by the hotel. The room and bathroom were quite clean. Breakfast was also nice- a good variety of foods, croissants were delicious, only the second morning (Sunday) the bread seemed stale and the fruit salad seemed to be from the day before, but that's just my assumption.

Beautiful property in a lovely part of the city. We were able to walk everywhere – until the weather turned and for the last couple of days did a bit of Uber. Lucretia was on hand personally everyday to make sure we had everything we needed.
Our room was stylish, spacious and immaculately clean. Great breakfast, and lovely touches of bakery goods, cakes, cookies and teas coffees and soft drinks available complimentary throughout the day.
Great quality for the price. Couldn’t recommend highly enough and if I get the chance to go back to Rome I would definitely return here.Amanda from United Kingdom (8/10)
Lovely hotel, good location, great snacks and breakfast
