Hotel Description

You know what surprised me about Relais De La Poste? It’s literally right on Via del Corso – I mean, THE Via del Corso where every Roman and their cousin goes shopping – but once you climb up to the second floor, it’s like stepping into this completely different world. The street noise just… disappears. Well, mostly. You’ll still hear the occasional Vespa revving up, but honestly, that’s part of the Rome experience.

The thing about staying here is you’re smack in the middle of everything without paying those insane prices you’d shell out for the fancy hotels around the corner. I could walk to the Pantheon in literally five minutes (I timed it), and the Spanish Steps are right there – close enough that you’ll probably end up sitting on them with a gelato at least once during your stay. The staff actually knows the neighborhood too, which is rare. They pointed me toward this little enoteca on Via della Croce that I never would’ve found otherwise, and the guy at the front desk gave me the real scoop on which restaurants are tourist traps versus where locals actually eat.

What really sold me on this place was the attention to detail – like, they’ve got proper soundproofing (crucial when you’re on one of Rome’s busiest streets), and the rooms are way more spacious than you’d expect from a 3-star in this location. The bathroom was small, sure, but everything worked perfectly, and the water pressure was actually decent. I’ve stayed in 5-star places in Rome where you get a sad trickle from the shower, so that was a pleasant surprise. The breakfast isn’t going to blow your mind, but it’s solid Italian basics – good espresso, fresh cornetti, and they don’t rush you out the door. Plus, eating breakfast while watching the morning chaos on Via del Corso through the windows is pretty entertaining.

The elevator is one of those tiny European ones that fits maybe two people if you’re friendly, but honestly, after a day of walking around Rome’s cobblestones, I was grateful it existed at all. Check-in was smooth – they speak English well and actually seem to care about making sure you have a good stay rather than just processing you through. I appreciated that they had maps with their personal recommendations marked on them, not just the obvious tourist spots. Location-wise, you’re equidistant from Termini Station and all the major sights, and there’s a metro stop at Spagna that’s maybe a two-minute walk. The area gets busy during the day (it’s a shopping district, after all), but evenings are surprisingly peaceful, and you’ll find plenty of good restaurants within stumbling distance.

Reviews

  • I’ll definitely recommend this wonderful place! – Ania from United States – 30 June 2025 (10/10)

The staff!! Sami and Danny are the best! There was also a lovely lady working at reception whose name I didn’t catch, but she was amazing too. They all made our stay absolutely wonderful!

Location, location, location — it couldn’t be better! Everything is just a short walk away. Highly recommend!

What could be improved: The only downside was that the bed was a little uncomfortable, and the location of our room felt a bit claustrophobic. But overall, the great service and perfect location definitely made up for it.

  • As a small boutique, Hotel would not hesitate to recommend it. – Ricardo from Cuba – 20 June 2025 (9/10)

Very good location with a very helpful staff. On-site Breakfast was excellent, very reasonably priced buffet with great service. All our room requests were satisfied. Our room had a view out the window to the Main Street which we enjoyed quite a bit.

What could be improved: Nothing that stood out.

Some reviews stated 3 steps to get up to the level to the elevator but if this is a major problem for someone, you’re gonna have a lot more problems walking around Rome.

  • Clean and comfortable – Shadi from Canada – 10 June 2025 (10/10)

    Location and cleanliness

What could be improved: Facial tissue was missing in the bathroom!

  • Beautiful hotel near the Spanish steps . Highly recommend – Donna from United Kingdom – 7 June 2025 (9/10)

Beautiful hotel near the Spanish steps and shops . Clean and well appointed and comfortable . Breakfast was excellent and they catered well for gluten free. Many thanks

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Enjoyable – Fahed from United Arab Emirates – 24 April 2025 (8/10)

    Amazing staff and amazing location

What could be improved: Water pressure in the shower was low maybe was an issue in our room. Otherwise great experience

  • Tutto Perfetto!!! – Elena from Greece – 21 April 2025 (10/10)

Samantha was tutto perfecto we loved her…!! She advised us to go to and visit places and restaurants highly recommended and was very polite and friendly….

What could be improved: The noise from the street and from the upper rooms was loud but we handled it due to Easter period so it was understandable.

  • Centrally located , good facilities , good breakfast; this boutique hotel has everything you need – Reza from United Arab Emirates – 5 April 2025 (8/10)

Central location. Clean and comfortable bedroom. Good and well laid out breakfast. You get made to order scrambled eggs.

What could be improved: Due to the regulation on air conditioning in Italy, sometimes the room becomes stuffy. A table or pedestal fan should be made available.

  • We stayed 2 nights, ideal for short stays bcz of location ! – Kerim from Turkey – 9 March 2025 (10/10)

Central location , nice staffs and nice rooms

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Highly recommended. Super value for money! – Peter from Malta – 28 February 2025 (9/10)

The location was perfect, the staff were lovely. The room was spacious and clean, with all the amenities one would expect. We got what we saw in the pictures! Will definitely rebook when I visit Rome again.

What could be improved: Only recommendation is to add more variety at breakfast. Having said this, for the price paid the breakfast was fine.

  • Exceptional – Radovan from Estonia – 27 February 2025 (10/10)

What could be improved: THe battery in the shower cabin was old, but that's not a problem, problem was bad water pressure.
