Hotel Description
You know what hit me first about the Raffaello Charmsuite? The building itself – it’s tucked onto this narrow Roman street that feels like it hasn’t changed much since the Renaissance, which honestly, it probably hasn’t. Via Del Banco Di Santo Spirito sounds fancy when you say it out loud, but it’s actually this quiet little lane just off the chaos of the Pantheon area. I mean, you’re literally a three-minute walk from one of Rome’s most famous monuments, but step inside and suddenly you’re in this surprisingly peaceful bubble.
The place has that Italian thing where they’ve taken something historic and made it work for modern travelers without ruining the character. The suites – and they actually are suites, not just rooms with a mini-fridge they’re calling suites – have this warm, lived-in elegance that feels more like staying at a well-traveled friend’s apartment than a hotel. The ceilings are high (thank god, because Roman summers are brutal), and there’s this mix of antique pieces and contemporary comfort that somehow doesn’t feel forced. I was honestly expecting typical hotel lighting, but they’ve got these lamps that actually make you look good in the bathroom mirror, which is rarer than you’d think.
What I really appreciated was how they handle the whole “being in the center of Rome” thing. Because let’s be real – staying near the Pantheon usually means tourist crowds and overpriced everything. But this little street stays pretty quiet, especially in the evenings when the day-trippers head back to their buses. The staff actually knows the neighborhood, too, which matters more than you’d think. They pointed me toward this tiny place around the corner for morning coffee that charges what locals pay, not tourist prices. And when I asked about avoiding the Pantheon crowds, they knew exactly when to go (early morning or late afternoon, if you’re wondering). The whole experience felt like they get that travelers want to experience Rome, not just check it off a list. It’s got that 9.1 rating for a reason – it’s the kind of place where small details are handled well, from the actually-comfortable bed to the shower that has proper water pressure. Sometimes that’s all you need after a day of walking on ancient cobblestones.

Spotlessly clean. Beautiful room. So central. We could walk everywhere- to the colloseum. Only 10 min walk to Vatican. Felt like a very safe part of Rome. We would recommend it to anyone.

The apartment was well laid out with plenty of wardrobe space with a comfortable bed & pillows.
It had a well equipped kitchenette and the apartment was beautifully decorated.
The shower was spacious and had good water pressure.
The location was excellent, only 10 minutes walk from St Peter's Square and 30 minutes walk to the Colosseum.
There are plenty of cafe's, restaurants and bars right on your doorstep.
I would definitely recommend Raffaello Charmsuite's for a stay in Rome.Maria from Greece (10/10)
