Quirinale Apartments Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Quirinale Apartments? The address says Via della Panetteria, and honestly, I thought it was just some random street name until I realized I was literally staying on “Bakery Street” – which, let me tell you, becomes wonderfully obvious when you smell fresh bread drifting up from the actual bakeries below every morning around 7 AM.
The location is honestly pretty incredible, though you might not realize it at first glance. I mean, you’re about a three-minute walk from the Trevi Fountain, but here’s the thing – you’re tucked just far enough away that you don’t get the insane crowds stumbling past your windows at midnight. The apartments themselves are solid for what you’re paying (this is Rome, after all), and while it’s a 3-star setup, the rooms are actually quite spacious by European standards. I had a little kitchenette that was perfect for making coffee and storing those amazing suppli I kept buying from the place around the corner on Via del Lavatore. The building feels properly Roman – thick walls, high ceilings, and that particular echo in the stairwell that makes you feel like you’re in a movie. Fair warning though: if you’re on the street-facing side, Via della Panetteria gets a bit of traffic noise during the day, but it’s not terrible, and honestly, it’s part of the charm of staying in the actual city center rather than some sterile hotel district.
What really makes this place work is how embedded you feel in the neighborhood. There’s a tobacco shop right downstairs where the owner (lovely older gentleman) will give you directions in a mix of Italian and enthusiastic hand gestures, and you’re close enough to walk to the Pantheon, Spanish Steps, and even over to Campo de’ Fiori without breaking a sweat. The 7.1 rating feels about right – it’s not luxury, but it’s clean, comfortable, and the staff actually seems to care about helping you figure out the city. I remember asking about getting to Testaccio for dinner one night, and instead of just saying “take the metro,” they walked me through the exact bus route and even mentioned which stop had the best view of the Tiber. The apartments have that lived-in feel that’s way better than some sterile chain hotel – like staying in a Roman friend’s place, if your Roman friend had decent WiFi and fresh towels. Just don’t expect a concierge or room service; this is more about having a real Roman address for a few days than being pampered.

Reviews of Quirinale Apartments
Other than the wifi problem it is a good value for the money. – Amirhossein from Germany – 2 September 2023 (7/10)
The Location was fantastic, 2 minutes walk to the trevi fountain, 10 minutes walk to the Pantheon and lots of restaurants nearby.
What could be improved: The Wifi didn’t work!!Pleasant – Fabio from Saudi Arabia – 1 September 2023 (6/10)
Location
What could be improved: Narrow staircase, no natural light and absence of trash binVery good – Tetiana from Ukraine – 21 June 2024 (8/10)
Perfect location. The host helped us order a taxi from the airport and back, which we really liked and it was cheaper than just hailing a taxi.
What could be improved: We could not turn on the electric hob to heat the water and there was no kettle.Great location, basic accomodation with no frills – Lianne from United Kingdom – 23 June 2025 (6/10)
Location was fantastic, literally round the corner from
The Trevi fountain and host was responsive.
What could be improved: TV didn’t work, shower gel dispenser not filled and kitchen felt abit unclean and poorly stocked so didn’t use it.Great location, poor amenities, uncomfortable stay. – Urooj from United States – 16 November 2024 (7/10)
The location was very convenient and the space was nice
What could be improved: All the amenities, fixtures were very old and falling apart. The toilet shower was leaky and created a puddle every time. There was nothing to clean or wipe it off. There was no soap in the bathroom or kitchen.
There was a spring crib under the daybed/sofa on lower level which was hitting everyone I sat on that daybed. It should not be stowed under it to injure people.
Bathroom was not clean.
Mattress on the upstairs bed was cert bad if I lay in one side it would sunk on that side. Pillows were very thin and not comfortable.
Overall the place was equipped with everything broken, old and uncomfortable. For the price I paid, I expected better.Exceptional – Daniel from United Kingdom – 17 April 2025 (10/10)
I got upgraded to an apartment about 30 meters from the trevi fountain, It was unreal how close we were to it. Everything was clean and tidy and the owner/manager was very polite
Exceptional – Deniz from Turkey – 12 July 2024 (10/10)
That was a great location thanks
Exceptional – Hüseyin from Turkey – 9 May 2024 (10/10)
We stayed in ff apartment due to renovation. The location was very good. There were new pots and pans and kitchen utensils. Since we had children, we used the kitchen actively. The owner of the facility was very caring and friendly. Maybe there could be a refrigerator and mini dishwasher in the kitchen.
Exceptional – Lukasz from United Kingdom – 2 August 2023 (10/10)
Perfect location, very close to most popular Rome attractions
Superb – Cris from Spain – 11 May 2025 (9/10)
