Hotel Description
You know what’s funny about staying right next to the Pantheon? Everyone assumes it’s going to be a tourist trap nightmare, but honestly, this place on Via del Seminario completely changed my perspective. I mean, you literally roll out of bed and you’re staring at a 2,000-year-old Roman temple – it’s sort of surreal until you get used to it.
The building itself has that solid Roman feel without being stuffy about it. The entrance is tucked between a couple of those narrow Roman storefronts, so you’ll probably walk past it once (I did), but once you’re inside, it actually feels spacious and surprisingly quiet. The apartments – because that’s really what these are, proper rentals with kitchens and everything – have this nice mix of modern stuff that works and enough character that you remember you’re in Rome, not some generic hotel chain. The bathrooms are honestly better than most places I’ve stayed in the city, and trust me, that’s saying something.
Here’s the thing about the location that guidebooks don’t tell you: yes, it gets absolutely mobbed during the day, but early morning and late evening? It’s magical. I’d grab coffee from that little place on the corner – Sant’Eustachio, locals swear by it – and just sit on the Pantheon steps at 7 AM with maybe three other people. The crowds don’t really hit until around 9, so you get this incredible window of peace. Plus, and this is key, you’re walking distance to everything that matters without being stuck in the Termini area where half the tourists end up. Via del Corso for shopping is right there, Piazza Navona is a five-minute stroll, and you can actually walk to the Trevi Fountain without taking the metro.
The staff really knows their stuff too – not just the usual “here’s a map” routine, but actual recommendations. They told me about this tiny place for aperitivo near Campo de’ Fiori that I never would have found otherwise. Parking is basically impossible (fair warning), but honestly, you don’t need a car here anyway. The nearest metro is Barberini, which is a bit of a walk but the buses are everywhere, and really, most of what you want to see is within walking distance.
I’ll be straight with you – it’s not cheap, especially during high season, but for what you get and where you are, it makes sense. The 4-star rating feels about right; it’s comfortable and well-run without being fancy just for the sake of it. The 8.8 rating online tracks with my experience – everything worked, the place was clean, and I felt like I was staying in Rome, not just visiting it. That kitchen came in handy more than I expected too, especially since there’s a little market on Via dei Pastini where you can grab fresh stuff for breakfast instead of paying hotel prices.

What could be improved: Cold bathrooms and second bed seemed to be a sofa bed so less comfortable and noisyAfter 24 years of visiting Rome, this is my favorite place to stay! – Dawn from United States – 16 December 2024 (10/10)
Besides being in an ideal location, this apartment is a spacious, comfortable and well appoiinted homebase in Rome. It's perfect for 2 couples or friends needing separate rooms and bathrooms. The apartment is impeccably clean and surprisingly large for this area of Rome. Access to the building and apartment is easy, everything is explained clearly and the hosts are very kind and responsive. This was our second time staying in the apartment and we look forward to staying again.

The location was the best part. The location made it easier to get taxis. Everything was as mentioned in the description. I'd seen reviews about construction noise but we did not experience any. Enjoyed the stay with my family and would come back again.
