Palazzo Ripetta Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Palazzo Ripetta on Via di Ripetta, you immediately sense you’re somewhere special. This five-star palazzo sits right in the heart of Rome, and honestly, the location couldn’t be better — couples consistently rate it 9.8 out of 10, which tells you everything you need to know. The building itself has that effortless Roman elegance that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a different era, but without any of the stuffiness that sometimes comes with luxury properties.
Prime Roman Territory
You know what’s brilliant about this spot? You’re literally steps from the Tiber, and the Spanish Steps are just a quick stroll away. I mean, Via di Ripetta is one of those streets that locals actually use — it’s not some tourist trap area where everything feels manufactured. You’ll find yourself walking to Piazza del Popolo for your morning coffee (about three minutes), and the Ara Pacis museum is practically next door if you’re into that sort of thing. The Spagna district has this perfect mix of high-end shopping and authentic Roman life that’s honestly hard to find these days.
The Luxury Experience
Each room feels like a carefully curated space where modern comfort meets classical Roman style. The attention to detail is what you’d expect from a property with a 9.5 rating — everything from the linens to the marble bathrooms feels deliberately chosen. What I particularly appreciated was how they’ve managed to blend contemporary luxury with the palazzo’s historic character. You’re not staying in some generic five-star box; you’re experiencing Rome through the lens of sophisticated Italian hospitality.
Morning Rituals
Breakfast here is actually impressive — and I say that as someone who’s usually skeptical of hotel breakfast spreads. They’ve got everything covered: continental classics, proper Italian options, plus vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free choices that don’t feel like afterthoughts. The American options are there too if you’re craving something familiar. It’s served buffet-style, which normally makes me nervous, but the quality and variety here justify the approach. Starting your day with proper Italian coffee and fresh pastries while planning your Roman adventures — well, there are worse ways to begin a morning.
Why Guests Love It
The combination of location, luxury, and genuine Roman character is what sets Palazzo Ripetta apart. You’ve got parking available on-site (which anyone who’s driven in Rome will tell you is worth its weight in gold), and you’re positioned perfectly to explore the city on foot. But it’s more than just convenience — this place captures that particular Roman sophistication that makes you feel like you’re part of the city rather than just visiting it. When couples consistently rate the location nearly perfect, and the overall property scores 9.5, you know you’re looking at something special.

Reviews of Palazzo Ripetta

all was good. only the size of room was small. Probably because we asked for 2 separate beds. And for the prize paid the size of the room should have been larger. I knew this already though from the pictures. And the roof was quite high which compensated for the small size of the room though. also the cleanliness and the rest of the hotel which was very enjoyable compensated for the small size.

Service was great. Alex from the front desk was very helpful, attentive and made sure we had the best experience.

The property is a brand new refurbished hotel from the 70s, opened in a former cathedral. It has a blend of modernist – art deco design, with exceptional attention to detail. But by far, its greatest strength is the people: an exceptionally profesional, kind and welcoming personnel, the likes of which I haven’t met in a hotel in Europe for a very long time. From the front door bell boy to the concierge they all make you feel special.

We went to Rome for New Year celebrations. The hotel looked lovely with it's christmas lights when we arrived, we wwere greeted warmly, Alan on reception was exceptional. Friendly, professional, arranged a room for us even though we arrived early. The room was a good size, clean, spacious and nicely appointed. Bathroom was also a good size with a large walk in shower. New Years' Eve Dinner was nicely done, considering there were a lot of people, the food was hot and promptly served by the many waiting staff. There was also a sommelier on hand to advise on the wines. Breakfast had a good selection, Buffet, as well as cooked. Well done Palazzo Ripetta, you far outclassed the last Relais and Chateaux we stayed in.
