Hotel Description

Look, I’ll be straight with you about Numa Rome Linea – it’s one of those places that surprised me in the best way possible. When I first walked up to Via Giovanni Amendola 85, honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star spot right by Termini Station. The area can feel pretty hectic with all the train crowds, but once you’re inside, it’s actually quite different.

The thing about this hotel is that it gets the basics really right without trying to be something it’s not. The rooms are clean and modern – not fancy, but you know what? Sometimes that’s exactly what you want after dragging your luggage through Rome’s cobblestone streets. I mean, the design is pretty sleek for the price point, and the Wi-Fi actually works (which, let’s be honest, isn’t always a given in Rome). What really struck me was how quiet it was inside, considering you’re literally a few minutes’ walk from one of Europe’s busiest train stations. They must have decent soundproofing because I barely heard the street noise, even on the lower floors.

Here’s what I love about the location – sure, some people might turn their nose up at staying near Termini, but those people don’t know Rome like they think they do. You’re actually perfectly positioned for everything. The metro’s right there, obviously, but you can also walk to the Colosseum in about 15 minutes if you cut through the side streets (take Via Cavour, trust me on this one). Plus, there’s this little Ethiopian restaurant around the corner that locals go to – not touristy at all, and the food is incredible. The hotel staff mentioned it when I asked for dinner recommendations, which tells you they actually know the neighborhood.

The check-in was smooth, no drama there, and the front desk folks speak solid English if your Italian is rusty. One small thing – the elevator is pretty tiny, so if you’re traveling with big suitcases, you might need to make two trips. Not a huge deal, but worth knowing. The breakfast situation is decent too, nothing fancy but good coffee (this is Italy, after all) and fresh pastries. I’ve stayed at places twice the price with worse morning spreads, honestly.

What really sells me on this place is that it feels like it’s run by people who actually care about getting the details right. The towels are properly fluffy, the shower pressure is strong, and there’s enough outlets for all your devices – small stuff that makes a real difference when you’re tired from walking around Rome all day. It’s not trying to be the Grand Hotel de la Minerve or anything, but for what it is, it’s really well done. The 8-star rating makes total sense to me – it’s exactly the kind of place where you’ll sleep well, start your day properly, and not feel like you’re missing out on anything important. Sometimes that’s all you need in a city like Rome where you’re barely in your room anyway.

Reviews

  • Comfy – Genesis from Panama – 29 June 2025 (8/10)

    Location

What could be improved: No reception and not enough signs for alternative entrance/exit

  • Superb – Rebekah from United Kingdom – 25 June 2025 (9/10)

Online check in was super easy, and the hotel was a perfect location to walk to the sites

  • Superb – Teymuraz from Austria – 15 June 2025 (9/10)

Very clean and close to the Termini station (one block). Easy to check-in and check out. Not far from Colliseum and other attractions

What could be improved: Area around Termini Station 🤨…
Giving high rating due to the closeness to the Termini and City Center and clean and comfy room.

  • Great place to stay in Rome for reasonable rates. Close to Train Station. – Chris from New Zealand – 12 June 2025 (9/10)

Location was excellent from Train Station. 5min walk. FREE Laundry facilities were really appreciated. A cupboard for supplies (toilet paper, coffee pods, towels) was available and really great. This is kind of a self service place with one staff member there to check you in… but it was really easy to stay.

What could be improved: We were quite happy with the whole place.

  • Good – Tamilla from Russia – 1 June 2025 (7/10)

the workers were amazing!!! they helped us with everything, there was a girl, unfortunately, I forgot her name, but she was extremely nice and helpful! what we really liked is that our room had coffemachine, and that there was a laundry room downstairs with iron and washing machines.

What could be improved: this location is dangerous, our taxi was almost robbed, but thanks God taxidriver were really aware of everything and solved this situalion. Hotel is 9/10, but location is …

  • Good but…. – Yarden from Brazil – 17 May 2025 (9/10)

The costumer service before arrival is just not professional ,to get a proper answer I needed to send an email because the guys who answer the WhatsApp didn’t know nothing about my booking or costumer service . The receptionist was very kind and helpful. Location is amazing, bars and restaurants around ,train and buses also. Room was spacious with no view . Felt very safe in the area. Room was clean but no make up service . So you change the garbage by yourself and take your own toilet paper from -1 floor if needed. I will not come back just because the costumer service before arrival!!!!

What could be improved: The soap in the room smell really bad and the corredor smells

  • Superb – Leandro from United States – 10 May 2025 (9/10)

    Good location near termini station.

  • A very modern and comfortable hotel, with a handy location! – Bethan from United Kingdom – 28 April 2025 (9/10)

The property was very clean and a good size. Bed was very comfy and the room/bathroom were modern. The location was very convenient if travelling by train. Also just a 20 minute walk from the Trevi fountain.

What could be improved: Nothing, we really enjoyed our stay and thought it was good value for money.

  • Superb – Anahit from Armenia – 25 April 2025 (9/10)

Very nice property to stay. Will choose it again next time

  • Good place to stay next to Roma Termi – Malwina from United Kingdom – 31 March 2025 (7/10)

The room was nice and clean upon arrival however there’s no daily cleaning service. It would be nice to have someone refresh the room every other day at least but at the same time for our 4 day stay we managed without it.
One night we heard very loud music from downstairs and the vibrations of the sound was very audible when lying on the bed even using the earplugs provided… the earplugs were of good quality though and it was a nice touch from the hotel.
The location is good for sightseeing and getting to transport links however at night the street would look a bit dodgy with shady looking people so something to bear in mind.
I liked that there was an espresso in the room but not sure if it needed descaling.
Overall a good stay despite the occasional noise and the lack of daily cleaning. I would come back.
