Hotel Description
Look, I’ve stayed at my fair share of hotels in Rome, and nhow Roma honestly caught me off guard in the best way possible. You know how most places on Corso d’Italia can feel either stuffy or trying too hard? This one actually gets the balance right. The building itself has this sleek, almost futuristic vibe that somehow doesn’t clash with the neighborhood’s classic Roman elegance – I mean, you’re literally steps from Villa Borghese and that whole Via Veneto scene that Fellini made famous.
What really won me over was how the staff seemed to genuinely know the area. When I asked about getting to Trastevere for dinner, the concierge didn’t just point me to the metro (though Barberini station is super close) – he actually suggested walking through the Borghese gardens at sunset first, then catching a bus from Piazzale Flaminio. That kind of local insight you can’t fake. The rooms themselves are pretty impressive too, honestly. Mine had these floor-to-ceiling windows that made the space feel huge, and the design is modern without being cold – lots of warm wood and clever lighting that actually works for both reading and, well, Instagram if that’s your thing. Fair warning though: if you’re a light sleeper, ask for a room facing away from Corso d’Italia. It’s not terrible, but Roman traffic is Roman traffic, especially during morning rush hour.
Here’s what I really appreciated – the rooftop terrace becomes this unexpected escape once you’re up there. You can see across to the Spanish Steps area, and during aperitivo hour (which, let’s be honest, is the most important hour in Rome), it’s got this relaxed energy that doesn’t feel touristy. The hotel restaurant is solid too, though I’d skip it for lunch since you’re walking distance from some incredible spots in the Ludovisi quarter that most visitors never discover. Parking was surprisingly painless – they’ve got a garage situation sorted, which if you’ve ever tried to park near Villa Borghese, you’ll know is basically a miracle. Check-in was smooth, no weird holdups or attitude, and they actually remembered my name throughout the stay, which sounds small but makes a difference when you’re dealing with jet lag and trying to figure out Rome’s organized chaos. The 8.2 rating makes sense to me – it’s not perfect, but it’s genuinely good at what it does, and the location gives you this perfect base for exploring both the touristy bits and the neighborhoods where actual Romans hang out.

They renewed the reception as well as the room. I felt it better but I needed the concierge for a taxi arrange and nobody could help me🤨🤨🤨
What could be improved: They did give the slippers anymore…I was used to get one during my staysSuperb – Andrea from United States – 25 September 2024 (9/10)
Our room was great, spacious and comfortable. The hotel is next to the Villa Bourghese, a large park that includes museums and other facilities. Shops and restaurants are nearby, and the staff is helpful for advice on activities and necessities.
What could be improved: We have stayed at this hotel before, and really like it. Flights from the US often arrive in the morning. This time, the weather was stormy, and there aren't many places in the hotel to spend time if you arrive before check in at 3pm. If available, the hotel might allow early check in, but not always possible. Consider a tour or someplace to spend the morning if you arrive early.Very good had a great time food was exceptional – Juwandara from Sri Lanka – 8 September 2024 (9/10)
The staff , the room and the video games
What could be improved: More storage would be better in the roomAn excellent stay in a lovely hotel, lovely location. – Stuart from United Kingdom – 17 July 2024 (9/10)
Exceptionally good hotel, location and services.
What could be improved: Curtain mechanism.Very good – Guy from Belgium – 9 July 2024 (8/10)
Excellent location on walking distance from the city center. The breakfast is great but the restaurant and bar (for dinner) are rather poor and not very inviting. However no need for this as restaurants and wine bars are only meters away from the hotel. Room is spacious and silent.
A great hotel to explore Rome from. – Kathy from United Kingdom – 15 March 2024 (8/10)
Great hotel, exceptional breakfast, lovely bar area. Staff couldn’t do enough to help – particularly the porters who called for taxis – amazingly helpful. Our room was good value, well thought out with plenty of hanging space, drawers, and places to put cases. Big comfy settee, good desk area and plenty of mirrors with a large bathroom.
What could be improved: Whilst location not bad, it is just outside the walls so it does mean a bit more walking than if you were closer to the centre.
