Hotel Description
You know what surprised me most about Nazionale Palace Suites? The fact that it actually lives up to that “palace” name without being pretentious about it. I mean, when you’re walking down Via Nazionale – which, honestly, can feel a bit touristy and chaotic during the day – you almost miss the entrance. But once you step inside, there’s this immediate sense of calm that hits you.
The location is pretty brilliant if you think about it. Yeah, you’re basically next to Termini Station, which sounds awful in theory, but it’s actually genius. You can literally roll out of bed and catch the Leonardo Express to the airport, or hop on the metro to anywhere in the city. Plus, you’re about a fifteen-minute walk to the Colosseum, and Repubblica metro stop is right there. The area around Via Nazionale has this interesting mix – during the day it’s buzzing with people heading to and from the station, but evenings get surprisingly quiet. I never really had noise issues, which I was worried about given how close everything is to the central station.
The suites themselves have this sort of elegant, understated thing going on. Not overly ornate like some Roman hotels that try too hard to channel the empire days, but definitely sophisticated. The bathrooms are spacious – important when you’re dealing with Italian plumbing, trust me – and the beds are actually comfortable, which isn’t always a given in Europe. What I really appreciated were the little touches: decent lighting for reading (so many hotels get this wrong), proper blackout curtains, and outlets where you actually need them. The staff clearly knows their stuff too. Check-in was smooth, they spoke excellent English, and when I asked about restaurants nearby, they steered me toward this little place on Via del Boschetto that I never would have found otherwise.
Here’s the thing about staying near Termini – a lot of people avoid it because they think it’s sketchy, but honestly, it’s just busy. And that 8.3 rating makes sense when you consider what you’re getting for the price point. You’re not paying Hassler or de Russie money, but you’re getting a genuinely nice place to stay with some actual character. The breakfast was solid (though I usually just grabbed coffee and a cornetto from the bar downstairs – much more authentic anyway), and having a kitchenette in the suite meant I could store some decent wine and cheese for evening unwinding.
I’d definitely stay here again, especially for a longer trip when having that extra space and the kitchen setup really matters. It’s one of those places that just works – you feel like you’re staying somewhere special without all the fuss, and you can actually get around the city without plotting elaborate transportation routes. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need in Rome.

Clean comfortable and central
What could be improved: Shower in the room not bathroom.
Only one cup in the kitchen and not enough coffee sachets . Room too warm.Decent stay – Christodoulos from Greece – 10 August 2024 (9/10)

What could be improved: There is a lot of trouble to enter the roomA quiet stay at a busy location. – Bubblegum from United States – 23 June 2024 (9/10)
Very nice and clean room. Not easy to locate the first time but once located it's very easy to find. Beautiful apartment with standup as shower located inside the room separate from the toilet which was very good. We stayed two nites. Will definitely return again
What could be improved: No toiletries items like shampoo or soap. We used the soap dispenser in the bathroom for shower needs but very minor. I can bring my own next time.Superb – Margaret from Australia – 21 June 2024 (9/10)
Everything, except the lift requires upgrading.
What could be improved: As above.Great location and space but slightly dated, great value. – Steven from United States – 22 March 2024 (8/10)
Great location, very clean, spacious room, and friendly/helpful staff!
What could be improved: I really enjoyed my stay, just be aware the rooms are in a big old classic building. Rooms are updated, but furniture and what not are a little worn and dated, which is why it’s probably such a reasonably priced spot for the location.Neat & perfect stay – Chitra from Netherlands – 8 January 2024 (9/10)
The rooms and toilets were quite neat and clean. Comfortable bed and small pantry with coffee machine & hot water
Very close to main station.
Automated check-in available. Very decent , safe & secure place to Rome central station . We were quiet skeptical first about the but this place is worth the stay.
What could be improved: Be a little careful with the shower cabin 🙂 otherwise no complaintsSuperb – Abdulaziz from Saudi Arabia – 26 December 2023 (9/10)
The bathroom was perfect and the room was clean and comfortable
What could be improved: One side of the bed was broken in room 2Perfect location to visit Rome. Great price and quality – Michele from Italy – 5 December 2023 (9/10)

Good – Leo from Switzerland – 26 October 2023 (7/10)
the room was clean. the hotel is close to restaurants, shops and the train station.
What could be improved: We don't have breakfast.
At midnight there was the garbage truck which collected the garbage which woke us up.Perfect for privacy; clean, private and centrally located… We will come back and stay again.. – Eugene from United States – 6 October 2023 (8/10)
Excellent service from check in to check out
Ladies in the office along with Yves were very very helpful in securing our 5 pieces of luggage so we could explore Rome for the day and catch our 6pm flight home.
Grazie !
What could be improved: The woman who is the security person in the front of the building was very grumpy and not at all helpful upon our arrival.
By the way she works for the apartment building and not the Hotel.
