Hotel Description

Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places around Rome, and the Navona Queen Rooftop honestly surprised me – in the best way possible. Walking up to the entrance on Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, you’re basically in the thick of everything but somehow it doesn’t feel chaotic. The street itself is one of those main arteries that locals actually use (not just a tourist trap), so you’ll see real Romans heading to work in the morning, which I always find charming.

The rooftop situation is what really sets this place apart, though. I mean, you hear “rooftop” and think okay, nice views, but this is different. You’re literally looking out over some of the most incredible architecture in the world, and it hits you that you’re not just visiting Rome – you’re living in it for a few days. The terrace gets gorgeous light in the late afternoon, and honestly, I found myself skipping the evening aperitivo crawl just to hang out up there with a bottle of wine from the corner enoteca. The staff doesn’t rush you either, which is refreshing. They seem to get that you want to soak it all in.

What I really appreciated was how they’ve managed to keep things elegant without being stuffy – the rooms feel contemporary but not cold, and the bathrooms actually have decent water pressure (you’d be surprised how rare that is in historic Roman buildings). The location is pretty brilliant too, because you’re a five-minute walk from the Pantheon and all the Navona craziness, but when you want to escape the crowds, you can duck down Via dei Cappuccini or wander toward Campo de’ Fiori for a completely different vibe. I noticed they’ve got the air conditioning dialed in properly, which matters more than you think during those brutal July afternoons. The only minor thing – and this is really nitpicking – is that the elevator is one of those tiny European ones, so if you’re traveling with massive suitcases, just be prepared to make a couple trips. But honestly, for a 4-star place that delivers like a 5-star experience, that’s about as close to perfect as you’re going to get in this part of the city.

Reviews

  • Best experience in Rome – Christiane from Belgium – 6 July 2025 (10/10)

Navona Queen Rooftop is our preferred place to stay in Rome. It was our 3rd stay and will not be the last. Rooms are spotless clean, beds comfy and the rooftop is the icing on the cake, views are stunning. All major points of interest can easily be reached within short distance walking. Matteo is a remarkable host!

  • Superb – Charles from United Kingdom – 2 July 2025 (9/10)

The hotel is in a central location from the Vatican and Colosseum and a 10 minute walk to the Pantheon, in a small square opposite the hotel are a few, not too expensive restaurants and the views from the rooftop are stunning, a great breakfast location and place to sit to talk all about the day's discoveries. The hotel is part of a much larger building and locating the front door posed a small challenge, once through the pace slows and you can relax.

  • Rooftop in the Heart of Roma ❤️ – Jessica from Switzerland – 20 June 2025 (10/10)

Best Rooftop Hotel with Jacuzzi 🤩 in Roma
As you are walking in the corridors you feel as being in a museum, decoration and colors are amazing. The view on the city is breathtaking from the rooftop and the room as well !

  • Incredibly wonderful and charming hotel for a perfect stay in Rome! – World-discoverer from Germany – 17 June 2025 (10/10)

My single room was very nice; the bathroom was large. This time I came to Rome for the Holy Year and the Holy Door; so the location right in the centro istorico ( but right on the Corso Vittorio Emmanuele II) was the perfect location and connected to St. Peter's. There are many restaurants very close buy and , of course, in the centro istorico. I preferred to sleep in; so I can say nothing about the breakfast. and I lack words to describe how wonderful their rooftop really is!!!. On my last evening I had a wonderful dinner there. I would like to thank Matteo (the owner) and his mother and Sara and Kristina.

What could be improved: Nothing. All was just wonderful. Maybe the beginning heat (too early for the year) but that s not Matteo's fault :))

  • Highly recommended. – James from Switzerland – 17 June 2025 (10/10)

Wow. What a location! The building is beautiful. The rooftop is fantastic. The room was great. Matteo and the staff make you feel like a VIP. Will be back for sure.

What could be improved: If you are tall. Watch your head on the doorway entering the building!
