Hotel Description

So you know that feeling when you turn down a tiny Roman side street and suddenly wonder if Google Maps is playing tricks on you? That’s exactly what happened when I first found this place on Via di Tor Millina. I mean, you’re literally a two-minute walk from the Pantheon — like, you can actually see the dome from the terrace, which is honestly kind of surreal when you’re sipping your morning espresso up there. The building itself is one of those classic Roman beauties that makes you feel like you’re living in some impossibly chic Italian movie, except the elevator actually works (thank god, because four flights with luggage would’ve been rough).

What really gets me about this penthouse is how it manages to feel both authentically Roman and genuinely comfortable. The owner clearly gets what travelers actually need — there’s proper air conditioning that doesn’t sound like a freight train, a kitchen that’s actually functional if you want to grab groceries from the little market on Via della Scrofa, and honestly, the shower pressure is better than most hotels I’ve stayed at. The whole space has these gorgeous original details — I’m talking exposed beams and that worn marble that only comes from centuries of Roman life — but everything’s been updated thoughtfully. You’ll find yourself just hanging out on that terrace way longer than planned, especially in the evening when the light hits all those terracotta rooftops just right.

Here’s what nobody tells you about staying right in Navona: yes, it can get busy during the day (tourists love that Bernini fountain as much as you do), but once evening hits and you’re up in your own little aerie, it’s surprisingly peaceful. The street itself is narrow enough that you don’t get much traffic noise, though you will hear the occasional Vespa — which, honestly, just adds to the whole experience. Getting there is straightforward once you know the trick: take Via dei Coronari if you’re walking from the river, or come up from Corso del Rinascimento if you’re metro-ing it to Spagna and walking over. Fair warning though — like most of centro storico, there’s nowhere to park a car, so factor that in. But really, you won’t need one anyway. Everything worth seeing is either walkable or a quick taxi ride away, and there’s something pretty magical about stepping out your door and being immediately immersed in layers of Roman history instead of fighting through hotel lobbies and tour groups.

  • A perfect base to explore the city; as a family we would recommend this accommodation without hesitating! – Delyth from United Kingdom – 14 June 2025 (10/10)

The location was perfect to explore the city on foot. Everything you could need was included from milk to dish soap and cookies! The air con was wonderful as it was 38 degrees for our entire stay. The little balcony areas were great too for some outside space. Fun and funky decoration and in a very safe area. Seconds from the Piazza Navona, about four minutes from the Pantheon and about ten from the Trevi Fountain meant we saw these several times during our stay! Wonderful.

What could be improved: It was noisy at night but the host provides ear plugs and in order to be in such an AMAZING location and so central it’s just what you expect in a bustling city – so it’s not a complaint.

  • The best stay in Rome – Hanna from Sweden – 30 May 2025 (10/10)

An absolutley amazing apartment in the heart of Rome. The terrace is fantastic, perfect for relaxation, beeing in the middle of Rome and at the same time feeling like you have a house – luxuary! Aldo, the host, is so helpful, nice and really easy to have contact with. We Will come back, and this is the only place we ever want to stay at. Higly recomend it! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

  • Great apartment, incredible location. – Roderick from United Kingdom – 12 April 2025 (10/10)

Great apartment in an incredible location. Great communication pre and during arrival by Whatsapp.
Greeted by host who had supplied gratis various foodstuffs in the apartment for us. Dishwasher, washing machine, coffee pod machine, also with the necessaries supplied. 2 full super king bedrooms, clean and well presented. Roof terrace to the rear and bedroom balconies over the street to the front.
Perfect location right next to Piazza Navona, for exploring Rome.

  • Great apartment – Victoria from United Kingdom – 3 April 2025 (9/10)

Gem of a place in a brilliant location just a few minutes walk from Piazza Nova, all sights were in walking distance.
It was well stocked with ammenities including ear plugs, which was necessary as the apartment is above busy streets which a noisy until early hours.
Overall it was a fantastic placw and would stay again.

  • very nice house.. very good location.. – Anil from Turkey – 20 January 2025 (10/10)

Very good location. The house has everything what you need.. Also thanks to owner Aldo.. He is vey helpfull.. He respond all questions very fast..

  • Location and apartment great, stairs and late night noise not so great. Would recommend but please be aware of the stair – Michael from United Kingdom – 11 January 2025 (9/10)

Location amazing and apartment itself very good with a super outdoor space which is rare in Rome. Communication was great with host throughout, lots of nice freebies left for you on arrival such as wine, juice, milk, water and biscuits etc. facilities, beds etc really good in apartment and quality new kitchen.

What could be improved: You know before you go that there is no lift due to the age and size of the stairwell, but to be brutally honest, the stairs are just that, brutal. We ended up not going back to the apartment more than once a day to avoid the climb. Ok I am no spring chicken, but when you read it is 4 flights of stairs you expect just that, 4 sets, but it was actually 4 sets of 3 or 4 flights of a few stairs and it is very steep near the end. Also, I did see a couple of reviews mentioning noise and it was noisy at night in the bedrooms that face the street, noise was from the bars underneath and on the corner and that was in January when from personal experience Rome was actually really quiet. Friday night went on until 3am! Luckily I travel with a good set of earplugs and recommend them if you are anything other than a heavy sleeper.

  • The perfect place in Roma – Michal from Israel – 13 December 2024 (10/10)

    Perfection.
This place, from now on, is our home in Roma.
Aldo is the most amazing host. He helped us with every little thing that we needed, and always with a true smile.
The apartment itself is unbelievably comfortable and lovely.
It has everything that you would possibly need on your holiday.
    The location is fantastic!!!
    The mattresses are comfortable.
    The shower is wonderful.
The balcony is way beyond what it looks like in the photos.
The coffee machine is such a treat!
The heating is working properly and we felt warm and cosy the whole time.
Thank you for a perfect time in Roma!
We will come back soon…. ❤️

  • Exceptional – Сибила from Bulgaria – 1 December 2024 (10/10)

The apartment has perfect location. It was clean and with everything that you need for a pleasant stay in Rome. The host Aldo was very helpful and answered all our questions. Thank you 😊

  • Live like a local at the best location – Pamela from United States – 28 November 2024 (10/10)

The location is perfect: half block from Piazza Navona near Tre Scalini. The terrace view of the cupola of Borromini’s church is breathtaking. The apartment is well appointed with an induction cooktop, Lavazza cappuccino maker, full size refrigerator, oven, dishwasher and washing machine. Audrey greeted us and made sure that we were comfortable, even leaving beer, wine, coffee, breakfast items, and more. Aldo kept in touch throughout our stay, replenishing items and booked a cab to the airport at the end. Safe neighborhood and convenient to groceries, the Campo dei Fiori market, and sights. We felt cared for in addition to having spacious accommodations. Grazie

What could be improved: Be aware that it’s a walk up on the fourth floor. Take it slowly. It’s worth it!

  • In Rome in the fall – Стела from Bulgaria – 25 October 2024 (10/10)

Everything was perfect. Top location. The apartment exceeded my expectations. It has everything you need. Aldo is perfect and always help us if we have questions.
