Navona Grand Suite Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Navona Grand Suite on Via dei Portoghesi, you’ll honestly wonder if you’ve stumbled into someone’s elegant Roman townhouse rather than a hotel. This four-star property sits tucked away on one of those narrow cobblestone streets that makes Rome feel like a living museum — you know, the kind of spot where you half expect to see a Vespa zip around the corner at any moment. The entrance is understated in that effortlessly chic Italian way, and I mean that as the highest compliment.

Location Magic

Here’s what makes this place special — you’re literally steps from the Pantheon, and I’m talking about a two-minute stroll, not some exaggerated “walking distance” claim. The Piazza Navona (which gives the hotel its name) is right there too, close enough that you can pop over for morning coffee or evening aperitivo without planning your whole day around it. What couples seem to love most — and honestly, the 9.7 location rating from pairs speaks volumes — is how you can duck into this quiet street and escape the tourist crowds, then emerge thirty seconds later into the heart of ancient Rome.

The Room Experience

The suites here actually live up to their name, which isn’t always a given in European city centers where “suite” sometimes means “slightly larger room with a curtain.” Each space feels more like a well-appointed Roman apartment than a typical hotel setup, with separate living areas that give you room to breathe. The design strikes that perfect balance between historical charm and modern comfort — think original architectural details paired with updated amenities that actually work. You’ll find a proper kitchenette in most units, which comes in handy when you want to store those amazing cheeses you picked up at Campo de’ Fiori.

Daily Rhythms

Mornings here have this lovely rhythm to them. There’s no massive hotel restaurant with buffet chaos, which actually works in your favor — you’re surrounded by some of Rome’s best cafés and trattorias, so why would you want to eat hotel food anyway? The staff knows the neighborhood inside and out, and they’ll point you toward the locals’ spots rather than the tourist traps. Evening brings its own magic when you return from a day of sightseeing to find your quiet street lamp-lit and peaceful, a world away from the daytime bustle just around the corner.

Why Guests Love It

What really sets this place apart is how it makes you feel like a temporary Roman rather than just another tourist passing through. The combination of that incredible location score and the intimate scale means you’re getting the best of both worlds — easy access to everything you came to see, plus a genuine neighborhood feel. The fact that couples consistently rate the location so highly tells you something important: this is the kind of place where you can wander out for dinner, get slightly lost in the winding streets, and still find your way home without stress. Parking isn’t really an option here (this is central Rome, after all), but honestly, you won’t miss having a car when everything worth seeing is within walking distance.

Apartments in Rome suit remote creatives with Juliet balconies, high-speed Wi-Fi, and espresso corners.

You feel like you are in a movie in a historical building in the very center of Rome. All rooms are tastefully furnished. All the details you need are available.

Paola was very helpful in everything. He answered my questions sincerely. Our room was cleaned every day.

The treats in the lobby were very tasty and fresh. If I come again, we would like to stay here.

Great location, very close to the sightseeings, Pantheon is just 10 minutes walking. There is a lot of cafe and restaurants around. The room was very nice and cozy with a lot of beautiful details. Coffe and some sweets are available all the time at the reception. We will stay here during our next trips for sure.

Was very plush which was great as was celebrating our moms 80th birthday

We stayed in a Deluxe Suite. The room was beautifully decorated, and since it faced an inside courtyard, it was absolutely silent, which is a hard thing to find in Rome. The bed was very comfortable, and our daughter really liked her couch bed. The bathroom was well appointed with plenty of hot water available. Instructions for accessing the property and room were clear. There is an elevator to access the 3rd floor, so there are only 4 steps from the entrance to the elevator entrance to manage with bags.

Although there is officially no breakfast, there is an espresso/cappuccino machine in the large common area along with a couple of tarts/cakes for slicing, so this can definitely serve as a typical Italian breakfast.
