Hotel Description
You know what hits you first about Navona Charming Balcony? It’s not just that you’re literally overlooking one of Rome’s most stunning piazzas – though honestly, waking up to Bernini’s fountain right outside your window is pretty spectacular. It’s that this place actually feels like someone’s stylish Roman apartment, not a sterile hotel room. The balcony (and yes, it’s actually charming, not just marketing speak) gives you front-row seats to the street performers and artists who set up shop in the piazza each morning. I mean, where else can you drink your espresso while watching tourists discover the Fountain of the Four Rivers for the first time?
The location is absolutely unbeatable if you want to feel like you’re living in the heart of Rome rather than just visiting it. You’re a two-minute walk from the Pantheon – and I’m talking a leisurely Roman stroll, not power walking. The narrow cobblestone streets around here are filled with those little family-run trattorias that don’t have English menus, which is exactly what you want. Fair warning though: the piazza can get lively in the evenings, especially during summer when the restaurants stay open late and there’s often live music. If you’re a light sleeper, you might want to pack earplugs, but honestly, the ambient sounds of Roman nightlife are part of the charm. The room itself strikes that perfect balance between historic character and modern comfort – the kind of place where you’ve got original stone details and authentic Roman architecture, but also reliable WiFi and a shower that actually has good water pressure (trust me, this matters more than you think in older Roman buildings).
What really sets this place apart is how it manages to feel both special and livable. The staff clearly knows the neighborhood inside and out – they’ll point you toward the best gelato spot on Via del Governo Vecchio or tell you which churches have the most incredible hidden frescoes. And here’s something practical: because you’re right in the centro storico, you’ll do most of your sightseeing on foot, which means you can actually pop back during the day to rest or grab something you forgot. The 9.4 rating makes total sense when you experience it – it’s not trying to be the fanciest hotel in Rome, but it delivers exactly what it promises with genuine warmth and attention to detail. If you want to wake up in the middle of Baroque Rome and feel like you belong there, this is your spot.

Excellent location, right at the Piazza Navona, convenient to every major attraction with so many restaurants, bars and mini markets within minutes of walking. Paolo is super nice and waited for us at the front door when we arrived and made introduction of the apartment and recommended restaurants and shopping choices.
What could be improved: The piazza location is a bit too busy so you can hear some noise in the evening especially during the weekend.Exceptional – Kristin from Ireland – 28 April 2025 (10/10)

We had a wonderful stay at the Novana Charming Balcony apartment. The location was amazing, in walking distance to all the Roman attractions. We didn’t need to catch any transport during our stay. It was also near shops, cafes, restaurants! The apartment was clean and large enough for a family of five. Our host was also extremely friendly and provided us with recommendations for places to visit and restaurants to eat at. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you.

The location in the heart of Navona Square couldn't be better – we walked to everything. The fountain was under repairs but the square was still lively and busy. We had 5 adults and didn't feel crowded. Very clean.
