Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be straight with you about MF Hotel – it’s one of those places that grows on you, you know? When you first walk up Via Savoia, you might think “this is it?” because honestly, the exterior doesn’t scream luxury or anything. But here’s the thing about this little corner of Parioli – it’s actually perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in Rome instead of just visiting it.
The neighborhood is what really makes this place work. You’re tucked away from the tourist chaos (thank god), but Villa Borghese is literally a ten-minute walk away, and I mean the good entrance near the Galleria Borghese, not the touristy one everyone talks about. The morning routine here becomes this lovely ritual – grab a cornetto from the bar downstairs (they do a decent cappuccino too), then wander through the villa before the crowds hit. Via Savoia itself is quiet enough that you can actually sleep with the windows open, which is rare in Rome, trust me. The rooms are… well, they’re three-star rooms, so don’t expect marble bathrooms or anything fancy. But they’re clean, the AC works (crucial in summer), and the beds are surprisingly comfortable. I actually slept better here than at some four-star places in Centro Storico where you’re dealing with street noise until 2 AM.
What I really appreciated – and this might sound weird – is how the staff treats you like a regular person, not a tourist. The front desk guy (I think his name was Marco?) gave me actual directions to places, not just the standard “Colosseum is that way” nonsense. He steered me toward this little trattoria on Via Bertoloni that I never would have found otherwise. The whole area feels residential in the best way possible. You’ll see locals walking their dogs, kids heading to school, real Roman life happening around you. It’s about a 15-minute metro ride to the centro storico on Line A, and honestly? That distance becomes a blessing when you need to decompress from sightseeing. The Flaminio station is your friend here – easy access to Piazza del Popolo and the Spanish Steps without the insanity of staying right there.
Is it perfect? No – the WiFi can be spotty, and the elevator is one of those tiny European ones that barely fits two people with luggage. But for the price point and the location, it hits this sweet spot where you feel like you’re experiencing Rome rather than just checking boxes on a tourist itinerary. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I was planning a longer trip where I wanted to establish some kind of routine. It’s the kind of place where you might actually use the little desk in your room to write postcards, you know what I mean?

Very good – Ivan from North Macedonia – 27 May 2025 (8/10)
Clean, matches the photos, 24h reception desk. Great value for money all things considered.
What could be improved: Super small TV and noisy hallway.Clean and in a good location. – Natasha from United Kingdom – 28 March 2025 (8/10)

Friendly and comfortable, a fantastic base to explore Rome. – Naomi from United Kingdom – 29 January 2025 (9/10)
Natalia was so friendly and helpful with my check in at reception. She gave lots of useful information and nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and comfortable, and bigger than I had expected too. It had everything needed from a hotel stay. The location is close to the Villa Borghese park which was lovely to walk around, and I might have missed it if I wasn't staying in the area. There was public transport nearby but also not too far to walk to the centre if you like to wander around and take in the atmosphere.
What could be improved: It's hard to say anything I didn't like because I had such a great stay! I think the only thing that could be improved is to make the sign more prominent on the outside of the building, because it's a shared building and it took me a minute to work out I had the right place.Good – Vasco from Italy – 2 January 2025 (7/10)
the location is a beautiful neightbohod in Rome and it was a pleasure ti see it from the balcony of the room

What could be improved: – lock of the bathroom and unit got stuck a few times
– floors squeek everywhere

– window doesn’t keep out soundVery good – Wayne from United Kingdom – 15 September 2024 (8/10)
Lovely room .lift was to small but accessible.
What could be improved: Breakfast very basic not worth the moneyGood – Elif from Turkey – 7 July 2024 (7/10)
Good restaurants around.
What could be improved: A lot of noise was coming from the next room. Wifi connection was not good.Very good – Cuffe from United Kingdom – 11 June 2024 (8/10)
Kindness ans willing for assistance. Also acess to tickets
Very good – Anna from Armenia – 5 June 2024 (8/10)
I am very pleased. The service was excellent, they were always ready to help, and the room was always clean.
What could be improved: The only disadvantage was the distance from the center. Yes, there were many buses and the metro was 15 minutes away. But returning late at night was a problem because the transportation was not frequent at that time.
