Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about Maison Letizia Roma? The address says Vicolo della Torretta, but honestly, you’re basically staying in the heart of everything without the chaos that usually comes with it. This little vicolo (that’s “alley” for those brushing up on Italian) sits just off the main Spagna area, which means you’re a three-minute walk from the Spanish Steps but tucked away enough that you won’t hear drunk tourists singing at 2 AM.
The place has this understated elegance that actually feels Italian rather than trying too hard to be Instagram-perfect. I mean, it’s a 4-star property, so your expectations should be calibrated accordingly – this isn’t marble-everything luxury, but it’s exactly what you want in Rome. The rooms have character without being quirky for quirky’s sake, and the staff genuinely seems to know the neighborhood. When I asked about getting to Trastevere for dinner, the front desk guy didn’t just point me toward a taxi – he sketched out a walking route through Campo de’ Fiori that I never would have found on my own. That’s the kind of local knowledge that makes a difference.
What really sold me was the morning routine here. The breakfast setup is small but thoughtful (proper espresso, obviously), and there’s this quiet energy in the common areas that feels more like staying at a well-connected friend’s place than a hotel. The location means you can walk to the Pantheon before the crowds hit, grab lunch near Piazza Navona, and still be back to drop off shopping bags before heading out for aperitivo. Parking’s a nightmare in this part of Rome – I mean, it’s a medieval city center, what do you expect? – but the hotel can sort out a garage spot if you’re driving, though honestly, you won’t need a car once you’re here. The whole experience just works in that effortless way that makes you want to extend your stay, which probably explains that 9-point rating. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Rome, but it nails being the kind of place where you’d actually want to stay.

Reviews
Overall we loved our stay at Maison Letizia Roma. – Jill from United Kingdom – 18 June 2025 (8/10)
The location was perfect. Walking distance to a number of iconic Rome locations. The apartment was amazing – very spacious and modern with plenty of facilities. Appreciated being able to check in late after our flight to Rome was significantly delayed.
What could be improved: No access to the lift to get our luggage up three flights of stairs. Only 1 key for five people. Being over-charged for the city tax (we were asked to pay €110 but it should have been €90). Probably need to be more explicit about what ‘free toiletries’ actually means (ie soap and hand cream – no shampoo or shower gel). Our flight was delayed by several hours. Our apartment manager made arrangements to have someone meet during after hour – Jayme from United States – 10 June 2025 (10/10)
Absolutely loved this apartment. The location was perfect. 8-10 minute walk to Trevi Fountain. Great breakfast care about 1 minute away. New restaurant right outside the main door.
Amazing – we loved it! – Sophie from Denmark – 2 June 2025 (9/10)
Beautiful & super clean apartment
Amazing location
Very helpful host
What could be improved: Minor detail: a bit noisy the night, bring some earplugs and no problemAmazing and memorable – Cindy from Australia – 24 May 2025 (10/10)
Wow what an amazing place and what a great host. Above and beyond Domenico went for us in so many ways. The place was in such a great location we were able to walk to everything. Comfortable and practical I would recommend for anyone.
Exceptional – Syangportugues from United States – 7 April 2025 (10/10)

Large & comfortable apartment in a great location. – Colin from United Kingdom – 23 February 2025 (9/10)
A large and comfortable apartment with all of the facilities needed for a short break.
The location is excellent for exploring central Rome.
Communication with the owner via Booking.com messaging was effective and the lady who checked us in was very helpful and efficient.
What could be improved: The stairs to the apartment may be a challenge for elderly or less mobile people.
It is quite noisy throughout the night but that is to be expected for somewhere located so centrally in a busy city.
The WiFi password was given to us in capital letters when in fact it needed to be all lower case.Beautiful apartment in great location! – Mike from United Kingdom – 12 February 2025 (9/10)
Beautiful apartment in great location.
What could be improved: Shower water pressure in both bathrooms were really weak. Slight drain smell in the main en-suite.
Significant building work taking place in the adjoining building – very loud construction noise to wake up to (not the fault of this property).Exceptional – Zenonas from Cyprus – 31 January 2025 (10/10)
Everything
Plenty of space and a great location. – John from New Zealand – 13 January 2025 (8/10)
Great location. Easy walking distance to Piazza di Spagna, Piazza Navona, Fontana di Trevi and the Parthenon. Plenty of great restaurants and bars all around. It's a lively area, so there is a fair bit of street noise, but not too disturbing. Plenty of space in the apartment and all the bedrooms are a good size. The main bedroom as an ensuite and the other two bedrooms share a big bathroom.
What could be improved: We weren't given any pre-information about how to access the property and it was left to me to reach out to find out what we needed to do. This worked out fine, but it was all a little last minute and added a layer of stress that could have been avoided if we had received instructions well in advance.
The property is up three flights of stairs and whilst there is an elevator, it can only be used by the permanent residents in the apartment block; it was a bit of struggle getting all our suitcases up and down the stairs as a result.
We weren't advised that we would need to pay a city tax when we accepted the keys and that this needed to be paid in cash. We didn't have the cash, so needed to find an alternative arrangement. Again, could have been avoided with a more proactive approach to communicating expectations for the arrival/check-in process.amazing location, beautiful big apartment – Marnie from Australia – 6 December 2024 (9/10)
location is amazing/ apartment is huge
