Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Maison Chic Spagna? It’s tucked away on Via dei Greci in this perfect little pocket where you can actually breathe – I mean, you’re still in the thick of Rome’s tourist madness, but somehow this street feels like a secret. When I turned the corner from all the chaos around the Spanish Steps, it was like stepping into a different world entirely.
The thing about this place is that it gets the details right in ways that honestly surprised me. The lobby has this warm, lived-in elegance – not the sterile marble situation you see everywhere else in central Rome. They’ve got these gorgeous textiles and artwork that feel authentically Roman rather than trying too hard to be “boutique.” The staff actually remembers your name after day one, which sounds small but makes such a difference when you’re dealing with the overwhelm of navigating Rome. And here’s something I didn’t expect – the rooms are genuinely quiet. I was worried about street noise since you’re so close to everything, but their windows must be incredible because I slept better there than I have in most countryside hotels.
What really won me over though was the location intelligence. You’re literally a three-minute walk from the Spanish Steps, but more importantly, you’re right around the corner from Via del Babuino where all the locals actually shop. The concierge – and I’m usually skeptical of hotel recommendations – steered me toward this tiny osteria on Via della Croce that I never would have found otherwise. It’s the kind of place where you can walk to Pantheon for sunrise photos before the crowds hit, then slip back for a nap before the afternoon heat gets brutal. The neighborhood has this great morning energy too – you’ll hear the coffee machines firing up at the corner bar around 7am, and there’s something really satisfying about starting your day with that soundtrack. I’ll be honest, the rooms aren’t huge (this is Rome, after all), but they’re thoughtfully designed with enough storage that you won’t be living out of your suitcase. Plus, that 9.8 rating isn’t just travel website hype – after staying there, I get it. It’s one of those places that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special rather than just booked another hotel room.

Highly recommended, one of the best stays I have ever been in Rome .. – M from United States – 15 June 2025 (9/10)
The apartment was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Its location was absolutely phenomenal—right in the heart of central Rome, with all major attractions easily accessible on foot. A special thanks to our host, Francesco, who was incredibly helpful and attentive throughout the entire stay. He truly made our experience even more enjoyable.
What could be improved: Everything was good, the only issue we faced while checking in that we had to climb stairs carrying our heavy luggages to get to the apartment which was a little bit challenging.Large apartment for a family or friend group in a great location! – Samantha from United States – 2 June 2025 (10/10)
We loved the spacious floor plan and the modern upgrades of this apartment. We liked this location near the Spanish Steps as well. It was quiet and felt safe, and would be great for a family. The owner was communicative, accommodating, and helpful as well.
What could be improved: No complaints.Excellent – Figen from Turkey – 10 April 2025 (10/10)
The flat was super clean, even the matresses, kitchen equipment looked brand new. There has been more then enough useful pruchases like toilet paper, tea, coffee, detergants, even olive oil. 🙏 Francesco met us at the door helping many suitcases up the stairs. Arranged a vacant place for storage of strollers. Gentle and smiling person. We appreciate his cooperation. The heat and internet was satisfactory. Beds were all so comfortable, good quality. Flat is situated between Spanish Stairs and Plazzo Popollo, not too far from Pantheon, Plazzo Navona, Fontana Trevi too. 2 comfy baths for crowded families. ♥️
Exceptional – Silvia from Bulgaria – 29 March 2025 (10/10)
Wonderful apartment in the heart of Rome, perfect for a large family. The mattresses were very comfortable, the kitchen was well-equipped, and the apartment was spotlessly clean. The host was extremely kind and helpful, assisting us with organizing a transfer to and from the airport with a van, as we were a group of six. The location is excellent, just a few meters from the Spanish Steps. Highly recommended!

Best apartment I've ever stayed in. I've been travelling for over 35 years and NEVER have i stayed in anything like this before.
The location is so central to everywhere in Rome. It's no wonder it's so hard to book.
Don't pass this accommodation if it's available it's worth every Euro.Exceptional – Antonella from Australia – 16 October 2024 (10/10)

A huge and modern apartment equipment with all that you need from cooking to bathing including quality body washes and hair products. I loved the 2 well equipped bathrooms. I loved the location. Francesco was very helpful and quickly responded to my many questions even until late at night. I highly recommend this apartment.
Exceptional – Rema from Saudi Arabia – 23 September 2024 (10/10)
