Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of Rome apartments, and this place on Viale Vaticano actually surprised me – in the best way possible. You know how most “luxury” rentals promise the world and deliver a cramped studio with questionable WiFi? Well, this isn’t that. The moment you walk in, you get why they called it “large” – we’re talking proper Italian proportions here, not some converted broom closet. The space flows naturally from room to room, and honestly, after cramming myself into tiny European accommodations for years, having room to actually spread out felt like a small miracle.

But here’s the thing that really got me – that terrace. I mean, you’re literally looking out at the Vatican walls, and it’s not some distant glimpse you need binoculars for. You can sit there with your morning espresso (there’s a proper coffee machine, thank god) and watch the early pilgrims heading toward St. Peter’s before the crowds hit. The late afternoon light hits those ancient stones just right, and you start to understand why people have been drawn to this spot for centuries. The apartment itself has this lived-in elegance – quality furniture that doesn’t feel like it came from a hotel supply catalog, artwork that someone actually chose rather than just hung up to fill wall space. The kitchen is genuinely functional too, which matters if you’re staying more than a couple nights and want to grab fresh ingredients from the market near Cipro metro stop.

What I really appreciated was the neighborhood vibe. Trionfale isn’t touristy in that exhausting way – you’ve got locals doing their shopping, kids playing in the small parks, the kind of Rome that exists beyond the guidebooks. There’s a fantastic little bakery about three blocks down where the woman behind the counter remembered my order by day three, and the walk to the Vatican Museums takes maybe ten minutes if you’re not in a rush. Parking was surprisingly manageable (Rome veterans know this is no small thing), and the building itself is quiet – none of that paper-thin wall situation where you hear every conversation from neighboring rooms. The only minor gripe I had was the shower pressure, which was decent but not spectacular, though honestly, after a long day of walking Roman cobblestones, I wasn’t too picky about water flow. The 8.8 rating makes sense to me – it’s the kind of place that delivers on its promises without trying too hard to impress you with unnecessary bells and whistles.

  the Terrasse was beautiful, there was a turtle in the garden wich was very cute, we liked the Lokation. So close to the city center and the vatican walls.

  Rooms were very big and beds were very comfortable.
  Overall apartment was very clean, big and have a lot of utilities (even cards to play!)
  
  What could be improved: The apartment is on the minus fifth floor a little bit humidity.
  It is hard to reach apartment if you use metro (very narrow and enormous amount of stairs!) – better pick bus or don't use shortest path.
  You could see mold under the shower.

  Obszerny apartment z 3 osobnymi pokojami i łazienkami daje poczucie wygody i niezależności. Pokój dzienny połączony z jadalnią i kuchnią wraz z obszarnym tarasem to doskonałe miejsce na wieczorne biesiady. Całe mieszkanie urządzone z gustem to wisienka na torcie.
  Dla mnie numerem jeden w tym apartmemcie był słoneczny taras z zestawem wypoczynkowym.
  Pomimo że apartment jest na najniższym poziomie i trzeba pokonać 4 kondygnacje to nie stanowi to problemu nawet dla starszych osób poniewaz sa szerokie i wygodne schody oraz dwie windy.
  Super apartment dla rodziny i znajomych!
