Luxurious loft facing the Pantheon

You know what? I’ve walked past this building on Via di S. Eustachio dozens of times over the years, and honestly, I never realized there was this incredible loft tucked away inside until I actually stayed there. The street itself is one of those narrow Roman beauties that tourists usually miss – it’s literally a stone’s throw from the Pantheon but somehow feels like a local secret. When you step inside, well, calling it a “loft” almost undersells it. The space has these gorgeous high ceilings and massive windows that frame the Pantheon like it’s a painting someone hung on your wall. I mean, you’re basically living in a postcard, but without the touristy chaos right outside your door.

The thing about this place is that it manages to feel both luxurious and livable at the same time. The furnishings are sophisticated – think modern Italian design that doesn’t try too hard – but you can actually relax without worrying about breaking something expensive. The kitchen is properly equipped too, which matters if you’re planning to grab ingredients from the morning market at Campo de’ Fiori (about a ten-minute walk through some of Rome’s most charming streets). What really impressed me though was the attention to details that actually matter to travelers. The Wi-Fi is fast, the air conditioning works quietly, and there’s enough storage space that you’re not living out of a suitcase. The bathroom has one of those rainfall showers that makes you want to stay in longer than you should, and the water pressure is consistently strong – something that’s honestly hit or miss in historic Roman buildings.

Location-wise, you’re in this perfect sweet spot where you can walk to the Pantheon in literally two minutes, but the street doesn’t get the foot traffic and noise that comes with being directly on Piazza della Rotonda. The building sits between two of my favorite coffee spots in the city – Sant’Eustachio Il Caffè is right there (prepare for the best espresso of your life), and Tazza d’Oro is just around the corner. You’re also walking distance from Piazza Navona, the Trevi Fountain, and honestly most of central Rome’s major sites. The only minor downside is that parking is basically impossible in this neighborhood, but that’s true for most of historic Rome. If you’re arriving by car, you’ll want to arrange something with the host beforehand. Check-in was smooth – they actually met me at the apartment, which I appreciated since these old buildings can be tricky to navigate the first time. The 9.2 rating makes complete sense to me; this is the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re living in Rome rather than just visiting it.

  I'll probably remember this stay forever. The beautiful, historic building itself is an experience. You'll walk through a massive main door, greeted by a friendly porter. There's a small elevator taking you to the 2nd floor, but once you have dropped your luggage I recommend taking the stairs as the staircase is also a work of art. You'll feel like you're in a movie.
  
  The apartment itself is super spacious with comfy designer furniture and décor. There are also nice books around and bathrooms, both with a shower, the upstairs one is a stunner.
  
  The window opens to a view of The Pantheon and the hustle and bustle on the square. We found the music and chatter from the restaurants and visitors charming and part of the experience. Once you close the windows at night it's peaceful enough. Anyone complaining about the noise, I don't know what they were expecting in the middle of Rome next to one of the most visited attraction.
  
  I'd stay here again without hesitation.
  
  What could be improved: Given the age of some fittings, carpets and upholstery it might not be for someone who likes modern, brand new, immaculate rooms. But it was spot on for us.

  Γενικά η τοποθεσία δεν υπάρχει πουθενά. Είναι ακριβώς όπως στις φωτογραφίες. Πραγματικά το σπίτι είναι στο πάνθεον. Και από το κάτω όροφο και από το πάνω έχεις απίστευτη θέα.
  Για 4 ενήλικες είναι κομπλέ εάν δεν έχετε θέμα να κοιμηθείτε «όλοι μαζί». Για μια οικογένεια είναι σούπερ. Επίσης δεν έχει φασαρία από την οχλαγωγία εάν κλείσεις τα παράθυρα. Εξαιρετικά value for money στη τιμή 200€/βραδυ.
  
  Στα αρνητικά είναι ότι το διαμέρισμα είναι αρκετά βρώμικο. Δεν πολύ δίνουν σημασία στη καθαριότητα. Επίσης τα μπάνια είναι λίγο «περίεργα» αλλά κάνεις τη δουλειά σου. Μόνο εάν το επισκεφτείς θα το καταλάβεις.
