I’ll be honest – when I first saw “LikeYourHome” in the listing, I rolled my eyes a bit at the cheesy name. But you know what? After staying in this Trastevere apartment, it actually lives up to it. The place sits right on Via Luciano Manara, which is one of those perfect Roman streets that feels residential but puts you about three minutes from all the action around Piazza di Santa Maria.

The apartment itself is genuinely spacious – 80 square meters actually means something here, unlike those tiny European hotel rooms where you’re bumping into furniture. What really got me was the jacuzzi situation. I mean, I’ve seen plenty of places advertise hot tubs that turn out to be glorified bathtubs, but this one’s the real deal. After spending a day walking around the cobblestones (and trust me, your feet will thank you for this), soaking in that thing while looking out at the terracotta rooftops was honestly pretty magical. The whole setup feels more like a friend’s really nice apartment than a rental – there’s actual personality in the furniture choices, and the kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook with stuff from the Trastevere market.

Location-wise, you’re in the sweet spot. Sure, Trastevere gets touristy around dinner time, especially near the main piazza, but Manara street itself stays pretty chill. You can walk to the Vatican in about fifteen minutes if you cut through the back streets, or head across Ponte Sisto to get to the centro storico. The neighborhood has that authentic Roman vibe during the day – old ladies chatting from their windows, kids playing soccer in the small squares – but then it transforms at night without being completely overrun. I particularly loved Da Enzo al 29, which is literally around the corner and serves the kind of carbonara that ruins you for everywhere else. One small thing to note: the street can get a bit lively on weekend nights (you’re in Trastevere, after all), but it’s more charming than disruptive – just real Roman life happening below your windows. The 9.6 rating makes total sense once you’re there, and honestly, it’s one of those places where you’ll find yourself planning your next Rome trip before you’ve even left.

  The host was charming, flexible and informative. The apartment was very nicely furnished and very comfortable. Some street noise from one of the bedrooms (Trastevere!), but manageable. We would return.

  Everything. It is amazing. Beautiful inside. The hosts have thought of everything. It is in a perfect location. Surrounded by restaurants. We walked to all the tourist attractions in the city.

  This is the best b&b, highly recommend staying here for a Rome trip. After researching places to stay I feel like we lucked out with find. In trastevere the vibes are perfect especially the evening with amazing restaurants. We were still able to walk to Spanish steps and it was nice to come back and have amazing dinner places so close. The two bedrooms and two bathrooms were great as well as little touches that made it feel like a home. What makes this place the best is the host. Aldo was so accommodating and attentive. He is also connected with Susannetta who helped set up tours for us which were amazing and I highly recommend using her. If I came back to Rome I would stay at this B&B again. Out of our 4 accommodations during our two week Europe trip this one was our favorite and most comfortable.

  Great Trastevere location! Apartment had an elevator which was wonderful for our elderly family members. Apartment was very spacious, clean, had a small balcony, fully equipped kitchen, welcome basket, info on Rome sites (our host, Aldo, even spent time going over the sites and a city map with us!). One bedroom had a jacuzzi tub! Great air conditioning. Extremely friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable host. Aldo is a true gentlemen. He even helped us book cars to the airport, not only for the guests staying at his apt, but for two other family members staying down the street!

  Aldo the host was excellent – very friendly and helpful. The apartment is very clean looks stylish and beautiful and has everything you need. The location is exceptional, lots of restaurants and walking distance to the main attractions. Inside the apartment was very cool (we didn’t need to use the air conditioner). The beds are very comfortable.
  
  The apartment is on the first floor and the staircase was very easy to climb and it also has a small lift.

  The location was incredible. It was a 30 minute walk to almost everything Rome has to offer. 30 second walk to the best food and gelato. The host Aldo has spent a ton of his time creating a welcome book that tells you the ins and outs of Rome. It includes things to do, best places to eat, and detailed maps of the area with the important parts highlighted. Our stay was enhanced 1000% because of his knowledge and willingness to go above and beyond what is expected for a host.
