Hotel Description

You know what really got me about Lifestyle Suites Rome? It’s literally sitting on Piazza Navona – and I mean literally, not in that exaggerated way people usually say it. You walk out the front door and boom, you’re standing in front of Bernini’s Fountain of the Four Rivers. The first morning I stayed there, I actually thought I was dreaming when I opened the shutters and saw tourists already gathering around the fountain at like 7 AM.

The thing is, most people think staying right on Piazza Navona would be a nightmare with all the crowds and street artists, but honestly? The suites are soundproofed really well – I could barely hear the evening bustle even with windows open. The rooms themselves feel more like actual apartments than hotel suites, which makes sense since the building has that converted palazzo vibe going on. They’ve got these gorgeous high ceilings with original frescoes (some a bit faded, but that’s part of the charm), and the marble floors stay surprisingly cool even in summer. I mean, the AC works great too, but there’s something about those old stone floors that just hits different when it’s 35 degrees outside.

What really sold me was the staff’s local knowledge – the concierge, Marco, told me about this tiny osteria down Via dei Cappuccini that I never would’ve found otherwise. He also mentioned that if you want to enjoy the piazza without the crowds, early morning around 6:30 AM is pure magic, and he was absolutely right. The location means you’re walking distance to everything that matters – the Pantheon is literally a three-minute stroll, and you can cut through the little streets to get to Campo de’ Fiori or even walk to the Spanish Steps if you’re feeling ambitious. Just a heads up though, the nearest metro stop is Spagna, which is about a 10-minute walk, so if you’re planning lots of trips to the Vatican or Colosseum, factor that in. The taxi situation is actually pretty good since drivers know exactly where Piazza Navona is (try explaining some random hotel address to a Roman cabbie – good luck with that). One small thing – the elevators are tiny, typical European style, so if you’re traveling with massive suitcases, you might be taking a few trips up to your room. But honestly, with a 9.3 rating and that location, you’re not exactly roughing it.

Location! Most comfortable beds and pillows, soundproof windows, excellent staff, rooftop bar and patio-can’t bring myself to stay anywhere but here when in Rome. Every room is unique. The amenities/toiletry are fantastic. They can assist in trips/drivers. This is a very special place. Close to best gelato La Romana 1947- and many restaurants- can walk to everything

  • Absolutely perfect short break, we will be back. – Neil from United Kingdom – 23 April 2025 (9/10)

The location on the Piazza Navona is perfect, the square is beautiful with some lovely restaurants and lots of shopping nearby. It is centrally located almost exactly halfway between the Colosseum and the Vatican.

What could be improved: I can't think of anything I didn't like about the hotel, but Rome on the first Sunday of the month (free entry to everything) is nuts!
