Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about LHP Suite Roma Piazza di Spagna? The location is actually kind of genius in a way that’s not immediately obvious. Yeah, you’re literally a three-minute walk from the Spanish Steps – I mean, you turn right out the front door on Via di Sant’Andrea delle Fratte and boom, there you are among the crowds taking selfies. But here’s the thing that makes it work: you’re just far enough off the main tourist drag that you can actually sleep at night.
I’ve stayed in places right on Via del Corso where the street noise goes until 2 AM, but this little side street has this weird pocket of quiet once you get inside. The building itself has that typical Roman apartment feel – you know, the kind where the elevator is barely wide enough for two people and your luggage, and the hallways have that distinctive old marble that echoes when you walk. It’s not trying to be fancy, which honestly I appreciated. The suites are pretty spacious for Rome standards, and they’ve got that clean, modern setup without losing the character of being in an actual Roman building from the 1800s.
What really sold me on this place was how it sits in the neighborhood. You’ve got Babington’s Tea Rooms right around the corner if you’re feeling fancy, but more importantly, you’re close to some genuinely good local spots that tourists usually miss. There’s this little alimentari about two blocks down where the owner – I think his name was Giuseppe – makes these incredible porchetta sandwiches for like 4 euros. And if you walk five minutes toward Via del Tritone, you hit that cluster of wine bars where Romans actually go after work. The metro situation is pretty solid too – Spagna station is right there, which gets you basically anywhere you need to go without dealing with Roman traffic.
Look, it’s a solid 3-star place with an 8.1 rating, and honestly, that feels about right. The breakfast is decent but not spectacular, the WiFi works fine, and the air conditioning actually cools the room down – which, if you’ve been to Rome in August, you know is not something to take for granted. I had a minor issue with the shower pressure on the first day, but they sorted it out pretty quickly. The staff speaks good English and they’re helpful with restaurant recommendations, though they tend to suggest the more touristy places unless you specifically ask for where locals eat.
Here’s what I’d tell anyone considering it: if you want to be in the heart of everything but still have a place to retreat to that doesn’t feel like a tourist factory, this works really well. You’re walking distance to the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, and all that, but you’re also positioned to duck into real Roman life pretty easily. The price point makes sense for what you get – it’s not luxury, but it’s comfortable and the location does most of the heavy lifting. Just don’t expect room service or a concierge desk, and you’ll be fine.

Nice interior design and great location , inadequate , pool air conditioning. – Caixia from United Kingdom – 26 August 2023 (7/10)
Interior is amazing,location is wonderful.
What could be improved: The AC doesn’t make cold air, only comes out with wind. Too hot to sleep. In the end we just have to open the window and switch off the AC.Great location! – Ibone from United Kingdom – 24 May 2025 (7/10)
Great location!
What could be improved: There was no signal in the bedroom.
Wifi didn't work the first two days, although it was sorted in the end.
Room could have been cleaner.Superb – David from Spain – 26 October 2023 (9/10)
The main point of this apartment is the location. The bathroom is really good, the bed is good, the cupboard is good. The host was really nice and easy-going, he allowed us to do the checkout later because he hadn't another booking for the checkout day.
What could be improved: My worst point here is that there were not any curtains to protect the bathroom to be wet from the shower.
Also, I thought that we would have some kind of welcome drinks, according to booking pictures. Moreover, I feel that the price was too expensive. It is true that the location is excellent, but we paid around 94€ per person per night…Good value, excellent location. Nothing fancy. – Stratton from United Kingdom – 24 September 2023 (7/10)
Excellent location.
The manager was kind and allowed us late checkout before our flight on the final day as there were no guests coming immediately after us.
The room was small and dark, bed was hard and we ran out of toilet paper – but these were all vastly outweighed by the excellent location and reasonable price point.
Overall a good experience.
What could be improved: Needed more toilet roll
Could do with redecorating/new furnitureVery good – Ian from United States – 15 July 2022 (8/10)
Location is perfect. Walking distance to any major location, and easy access to public transport.
Exceptional – Yufei from China – 2 April 2025 (10/10)
The host was very friendly, provided excellent service, and responded promptly. The room was clean and well-organized, making my stay very comfortable. I had a wonderful three days. The only downside was that the room had no windows, but its great location, close to the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain, made up for it.
Bery nice place to stay. – Mejia from United States – 1 October 2024 (10/10)
Right between Fontana de Trevi and Spanish Steps. Restaurant across the street. Supermarket right at the corner.
