Hotel Description

Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Via delle Coppelle looking for Juno Pantheon, I almost missed it entirely. It’s tucked into one of those narrow Roman streets where you’re constantly dodging Vespas and tourists with massive backpacks, and the “interno 1” part of the address basically means you’re hunting for a doorway that doesn’t exactly scream “hotel entrance.” But that’s actually part of what makes this place work – you’re staying in a proper Roman palazzo, not some glass box that could be anywhere in the world. The moment you step inside, there’s this immediate shift from the chaos of the street to something much more intimate and, well, Roman.

What really got me about Juno Pantheon is how it feels like someone’s stylish apartment rather than a typical 3-star hotel. The rooms aren’t huge (this is central Rome, after all), but they’re designed with actual thought – you know what I mean? Like, the lighting actually works for reading, and there are enough outlets near the bed without having to unplug the mini-fridge. The bathrooms are surprisingly modern too, which honestly surprised me given the historic building. I stayed there during shoulder season in October, and while you can definitely hear some street noise during the day – it’s Rome, not a monastery – things quiet down nicely at night. The staff genuinely seems to care about getting you sorted, and they’ll give you actual useful directions to places, not just the tourist traps.

Here’s the thing though – the real magic is stepping outside your door. You’re literally a two-minute walk from the Pantheon, but more importantly, you’re in the heart of what I’d call “local Rome.” There’s this fantastic little coffee bar right around the corner on Via degli Orfani where you can get proper espresso for €1.20 instead of the €3 they charge near the major sights. The whole Pantheon neighborhood has this incredible mix of ancient Rome and everyday Roman life – you’ll see businesspeople grabbing lunch at the same trattoria where tourists are fumbling with Google Translate. Sure, it’s not luxury level (that 7.4 rating is pretty fair), and if you’re someone who needs a gym and room service, this isn’t your place. But if you want to actually feel like you’re staying in Rome rather than just visiting it, and you don’t mind navigating those wonderfully confusing Roman streets to find your front door, Juno Pantheon gets it right. Plus, honestly, where else can you say you’re sleeping a stone’s throw from a 2,000-year-old building without completely breaking the bank?

Reviews

  • Fantastic location, central and within walking distance of coliseum, pantheon and even Vatican. – Clare from United Kingdom – 22 June 2025 (8/10)

Breakfast was at a very local cafe – lovely in every respect

What could be improved: It felt a little odd only being able to access the reception staff via whats app. However we really had no reason too (except when WiFi dropped out) and everything worked well.
If anything had gone wrong what would've happened.

  • Great location great room – Metar from Israel – 18 April 2025 (6/10)

    The location

What could be improved: The concept that there are no staff members in the hotel and you cant really communicate with them

  • Would definitely stay here again. – Naomi from United Kingdom – 11 September 2024 (8/10)

Great location, friendly and helpful host, clean room with plenty of amenities.

What could be improved: Very small room but that’s absolutely normal for Italy and doesn’t matter when you’re only sleeping there.

  • Good location – Maria from Chile – 30 August 2024 (7/10)

Excellent location, good value for money.

What could be improved: I asked for a refrigerator where I could put way my medicine, and didn’t receive any answer. Also on the last day, breakfast started at 7am, as the message they sent me showed, but we weren’t able to have breakfast because it was closed when we arrived and had to leave. The wifi was very difficuly to find, in a very small letter outside the room.

  • Pleasant – Ammar from United States – 9 August 2024 (6/10)

The place is small and nice. Shower is comfortable

What could be improved: Be aware that the walls are thin—you can easily hear people in the next room, which can be disturbing if they’re loud. Unfortunately, our experience with the host was not great. We requested an extra 3 hours for checkout, but the host demanded 100 euros for it and insisted that checkout was at 10 am, which didn't match the 10:30 am checkout time listed on Booking.com (communication via what’s app). This lack of flexibility and miscommunication was disappointing.

  • Very good – Dodger from Australia – 14 July 2024 (8/10)

Very clean, comfortable room, with a large newly refurbished bathroom

What could be improved: A bar fridge in the room would be perfect!

  • Close to the Pantheon – Brian from Australia – 8 July 2024 (7/10)

Fantastic location, 2 minute walk from Pantheon. Quiet and dark room. Strong air conditioning. Fast wifi. Daily cleaning service.

What could be improved: Expensive. Tiny room. No shelf space in the bathroom at all, nowhere for your toiletry bag, nowhere to put anything in the shower (except the ground). Shower opening exceptionally narrow, very problematic for a pregnant or larger person. No lift (first floor). No savoury options at the cafe where the breakfast token is provided.

  • Good – Panah from Azerbaijan – 25 March 2024 (7/10)

    Exellent location and staff

  • Very good – Melany from United Kingdom – 2 March 2024 (8/10)

The location was great. All the best sights were within walking distance.
Piazza navona is less than 5 minutes away, the colosseo was 25 minutes away, and just 100 metres away, there is a lovely church with a bith a raffaello and a stunning caravaggio to admire. Right next to it, you can also visit biblioteca angelica, the very first public library in Europe.
Staff were friendly and just a message or whatsapp call away in case you needed it.
They were also helpful with luggage as you could leave your stuff at the location both before checkin and after checkout.
The bed was super comfy, and each of us had 2 pilows, something that is pretty rare around

  • Very good – Alena from Germany – 2 March 2024 (8/10)

Good location, clean, many nice additionals (like tee, coffee). Te extra couch is not comfortable at all. It’s more for a couple and not three people.

What could be improved: Would be good to have a small fridge. One night there was very laud music coming from the top floor as it was a club or so. Maybe it can be laud in the main season. I don’t know
