Hotel Description
You know what? I’ve walked past Jadore Monic dozens of times on Via Michele di Lando, and honestly, I always wondered what it was like inside. Well, after finally staying there last month, I can tell you it’s one of those places that gets the balance right between being polished and actually feeling welcoming. The Nomentano neighborhood isn’t where most tourists end up – which is exactly why I love it here. You’re living like Romans do, grabbing morning coffee at the corner bar where the barista already knows your order by day three.
The hotel itself sits on this tree-lined street that’s quiet enough for proper sleep but close enough to everything that matters. I mean, you can catch the 90 bus right at the corner and be at the Colosseum in twenty minutes, or walk fifteen minutes to Villa Torlonia (seriously underrated park, by the way). The front desk staff actually remember your name, which sounds small but makes such a difference when you’re dealing with Rome’s summer heat and just want someone to hold your packages while you escape to that gelateria on Via Salaria. The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid four-star – nothing revolutionary, but the air conditioning works properly (crucial in July), the beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms have decent water pressure. I appreciated the little touches too, like how they leave the shutters slightly open so you wake up to natural light instead of that jarring hotel alarm clock experience.
What really sold me on this place was discovering the neighborhood rhythm. Mornings here start with the market vendors setting up on Via Nomentana, and evenings wind down with families walking their dogs past your window. There’s this fantastic trattoria called Il Sorpasso about a ten-minute walk away that most guidebooks miss completely – locals pack it every night, which tells you everything. The hotel’s location means you’re close enough to central Rome when you want the tourist experience, but far enough away that you can actually decompress. Parking can be tricky on the street (typical Rome), but the hotel can arrange something if you’re driving. Check-in was smooth, though I’d recommend arriving after 3 PM to avoid the cleaning rush. The 8.7 rating makes sense – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Rome, but it delivers exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. Perfect for travelers who want to experience Rome beyond the postcard version.

The best part is that everything is within walking distance. The bus station is right next to the hotel and the metro station is a 5 minute walk away. The neighborhood was cosy and comfortable. The host showed hospitality and the cleaning service was well done.

The room was cleaned every day. IT was comfortable for 3 persona. AC was working and it was great. Sińce the bar where brrakfast was supposed to be served was closed, we were provisioned with Simple brrakfast and coffe in the room.,

The room was a decent size with great air-conditioning to keep you cool after a long hot day in the 37 degrees Celsius weather. We went in July. The metro B line is a 3 minute walk away and it takes you directly to Roma Termini station. It also brings you directly to the Collosseo which is great.
Nearby is a nice pizza restaurant with reasonable prices and a gelato shop with amazing ice cream at really affordable prices, especially when compared with tourist area prices.
