Hotel Description
You know what really struck me about Houspitality Caesar? It’s tucked away on Viale Giulio Cesare in this perfectly quiet residential stretch of Prati, but you’re literally a ten-minute walk from the Vatican Museums’ entrance. I mean, forget those touristy spots right by St. Peter’s Square – this is where you actually want to be. The neighborhood feels properly Roman, with locals doing their morning shopping and that easy pace you don’t get in the centro storico.
The B&B itself has this lovely, understated elegance that feels more like staying with well-traveled friends than checking into a hotel. The rooms are genuinely spacious (rare for Rome, honestly), and they’ve managed to blend modern comfort with classic Italian style without going overboard on either. What I really appreciated were the little touches – proper reading lights, decent water pressure, and windows that actually block out street noise when you close them. The breakfast spread is solid too, though don’t expect anything fancy – just good coffee, fresh pastries, and the kind of simple spread that gets you properly fueled for a day of walking around Rome.
Here’s the thing about this location that most people don’t realize until they’re here: you’re positioned perfectly between the Vatican and the historic center, but you’re also right near Ottaviano metro stop, which connects you to everywhere else without the hassle of navigating Rome’s chaotic bus system. Plus, there’s this fantastic little market on Via Andrea Doria – just a couple blocks away – where you can grab actual groceries or grab a quick bite that doesn’t cost tourist prices. The 9.1 rating honestly makes sense when you factor in that the owners clearly know what they’re doing, the place is impeccably maintained, and you’re getting that four-star experience without the four-star attitude. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’ve discovered something special, even though it’s not exactly a secret – just well-executed hospitality in a spot that actually understands what travelers need.

It had everything we needed. Loved that there was a water dispenser, coffee maker, tea station and microwave for us to use which made our stay that much more convenient. They serve breakfast in your room, adding to the charm of B&B. Claudia our host was warm and welcoming, easy to communicate and explained everything is detail. She helped prepare our breakfast the night we arrived since we had an early start the next day. Props to the guy who prepared the breakfast (did not catch his name). The rooms are clean and comfortable too!

The location is good: a few minutes’ walk from a Metro station and Vatican City. The neighborhood is pleasant and relatively quiet for an urban area, with small cooked food/grocery stores, restaurants, bars, cafes and a Cinema nearby. Staff were exceptional. Gordon, our on-site host was warm, friendly and very helpful. He provided a detailed orientation to the facilities. Claudia, our main booking contact, was also very helpful, patient, and helped us book taxis to and from the airport. The room was cleaned and towels refreshed every day. Breakfast was delivered to our room on a small trolley. Wifi and internet access was good; there’s small library of (mostly Italian) books to borrow during your stay. Our room had a small balcony.

Everything was great. Gordon was very helpful. The accommodation is about a 10-minute walk from the Vatican and a perfect starting point for all the sights. The accommodation was very clean, the room spacious. You order breakfast the day before (coffee, tea, sweet, salty food, cereal, fruit) and Gordon will bring it to your room at the time you want. There is a coffee machine in the corridor (which was a godsend for me) and a water machine. If I ever go to Rome, I will definitely come here.
Adélaïde from New Zealand (10/10)
Everything.
– The person who takes care of the B&B was extremely nice and helpful
– location is excellent, less than 30 minutes walk from the pantheon, less than 5 minutes walk to the metro, 40 minutes to the Vatican, etc
Area is super quiet so really good to avoid the noisy city centre and the crowd
– breakfast is really good
– coffee and tea as well as fresh water available at all time
– bed was super comfortable, bedroom was cleaned everyday. Bathroom was more than enough for us.
