Hotel Description
You know what really struck me about Hotel Principe Di Piemonte? It’s one of those places that actually gets the whole “location, location, location” thing right without making a big deal about it. I mean, you’re literally a two-minute walk from Termini Station – and before you groan about staying near a train station, hear me out. This isn’t some sketchy area where you’re dodging pickpockets at midnight. Via Giolitti is actually pretty pleasant, with decent restaurants and that authentic Roman neighborhood feel where locals are just going about their business.
The hotel itself has this sort of understated elegance that I honestly wasn’t expecting from a 3-star place. The lobby’s got these beautiful old tiles – you can tell they’ve been there forever but they’re well-maintained, not shabby. Check-in was smooth (the staff actually speak proper English, which isn’t always a given in Rome), and here’s something I really appreciated: they warned me about the morning rush hour noise from the street. I mean, you’re in central Rome, so expecting complete silence is unrealistic anyway, but I liked that they were upfront about it. The rooms are what you’d expect – clean, comfortable beds, decent-sized bathrooms. Nothing fancy, but everything works, and honestly, that’s all you need when you’re spending your days exploring the city.
What really makes this place work is how connected you are to everything. The metro’s right there, obviously, but you can also walk to the Colosseum in about 15 minutes if you take the route through the Monti neighborhood (which is gorgeous, by the way). There’s a great little espresso bar literally next door where locals grab their morning coffee – I ended up going there every day because the hotel breakfast, while fine, isn’t anything special. And here’s a insider tip: if you’re arriving by train, you don’t need to stress about transportation from the airport. The Leonardo Express dumps you right at Termini, and then it’s just a quick walk with your luggage. I’ve stayed at fancier places in Rome where getting there was a whole production involving taxis and traffic. The 8.4 rating makes sense to me – it’s not luxury, but it delivers exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. Perfect for people who want a clean, safe base for exploring Rome without paying tourist-trap prices.

What could be improved: The breakfast could be more complete and diversifiedGood value for money and helpful staff – Ana from Georgia – 23 June 2025 (9/10)
The attention from staff is main highlight of our experience. The young gentleman was very helpful with our luggage and with giving directions for city sights and transportation. Also they had fulfilled couple of my request that I have sent before my arrival, which was really nice and attentive gesture. Breakfast is simple, but with the main ingredients)) Location is nice – close to a square where you can catch bus or tram.

We were very well received. The front desk staff was extremely attentive, starting from the moment we made the booking. They explained how the local tourist attractions worked, how to get to them, and provided all the necessary information about the city.

The rooms were very clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location was excellent as the bus stop, tram stop and the central station was within walking distance.
What could be improved: The breakfast options were less. We stayed for 4 nights and every morning we were served the same breakfast. There could have been some more variety we felt.Great hotel – Ali from United Kingdom – 20 April 2025 (8/10)
