Hotel Pineta Palace Overview

You know what really struck me about Hotel Pineta Palace? It’s one of those places that gets the balance right between being polished enough for a proper Roman holiday but not so stuffy that you feel like you need to whisper in the lobby. The building itself sits on Via San Lino Papa – honestly, most tourists wouldn’t know this street from any other, but that’s actually part of its charm. You’re in a real Roman neighborhood here, not some touristy bubble.

The location is sort of genius when you think about it. Sure, you’re not stumbling out your front door onto the Spanish Steps, but you’re in this lovely residential pocket where actual Romans live their lives. I mean, there’s a fantastic little bakery about two blocks down that does these incredible cornetti in the morning – the kind of place you’d never find if you were staying in the obvious hotel districts. The Metro connection is actually pretty solid from here too, which matters more than you’d think when your feet are screaming after a day of cobblestone wandering. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. Rome can be… well, Roman in terms of noise levels, but this area settles down beautifully after dinner hours.

The hotel itself feels like someone put real thought into it without going overboard. The rooms have this warm, lived-in elegance – not the sterile perfection you get at some chain places, but not shabby either. The staff genuinely seems to know the neighborhood, which is gold when you’re trying to figure out where to grab dinner that isn’t a tourist trap. I remember asking about parking (because Rome and cars are a special kind of nightmare), and they actually had practical solutions rather than just shrugging and pointing to the street. The breakfast situation is solid too – proper Italian coffee, obviously, but they don’t try to reinvent the wheel with weird fusion nonsense. Sometimes simple done right beats fancy done poorly, you know? The 8.3 rating makes sense to me – it’s the kind of place that delivers on what it promises without any nasty surprises, and in Rome, that’s honestly worth its weight in gold.

    Staff,food,rooms

What could be improved: A little far from centrum

  • Quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of the city but with everything you need. – Deb from United Kingdom – 26 June 2025 (8/10)

Staff were welcoming and helpful. Accommodation was clean and comfortable with everything we needed.

  • Superb – Georgeta from Rwanda – 10 June 2025 (9/10)

I like everything except one thing

What could be improved: The breakfast, too many sweets in the menu 😋

  • Superb – Igor from Moldova – 17 May 2025 (9/10)

A nice hotel. Very polite staff. The breakfast was good, we enjoyed it every morning. The room was big enough and clean.
7 minutes walking to the bus station.

What could be improved: Although the room was clean and the staff were polite, and an amazing breakfast, the stay was seriously disrupted by constant noise from the room above. It sounded like the guests were dragging furniture around continuously, the noise often went on until around 11:00 PM each night, making it very hard to relax or fall asleep. Unfortunately, this significantly affected my overall experience.

  • All in all a very pleasant experience, and we would go back without hesitation. Unfortunately my wife left her coat in t – Michael from United Kingdom – 11 April 2025 (9/10)

Really nice hotel with very friendly helpful reception staff. Not altogether happy with first room offered, but more than happy with the alternative offered without a fuss. Had to ask the room servicing lady to replace the paper cups, and complimentary tea bags were not replaced. I mention these last things for your information and not as a complaint.

  • Superb – Tracey from United Kingdom – 30 September 2024 (9/10)

    Helpful staff

  • I would say an overpriced hotel for its quality – Elena from Luxembourg – 13 May 2024 (8/10)

The hotel is well cleaned, the stuff is very welcoming and helpful. The furniture in the room is comparatively new, the room itself was spacious, with space to put the suitcases

What could be improved: The hotel is considerably old, well maintained despite that, the furniture in the room is pretty new. However, we had issues multiple times with the locker to enter the room due to the door that has sagged I guess from age. The breakfasts are quite basic, the quality of coffee is not the best but it is always possible to ask the waiter for coffee. The hotel is located far from the metro station (25-30 min walk)

  • Superb – Petr from Czech Republic – 7 May 2024 (9/10)

    Hotel location
    Big clean room
English speaking amd helpfully personal 👍👍

What could be improved: Restaurant for dinner in -1 floor. – missing music for atmosphere.
Dinner was mot good – Caesar salat

  • Lovely hotel in a quiet, pleasant area of Rome – Romina from Romania – 28 April 2024 (9/10)

The hotel and facilities look exactly as advertised in the photos. I was a bit skeptical reading the reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised upon the arrival. The reason for this, as I came to learn, is that there are many visitors on a daily basis, from several cultures, with different levels of expectations. It is not a 5-star hotel, but it's great value for money in Rome! The location is accessible by bus and metro, with plenty of restaurants and other places around (pharmacy, stores, tabacchi), and the area is so quiet and nice compared to the hectic city centre! We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.

What could be improved: Everything was great!

  • Very good – Sobhansafari from Iran – 30 September 2023 (8/10)

    Large size of the room
    Nice terrace of the room
Parking with good price and no need to reservation
    Good breakfast

What could be improved: It's location is a bit far from the center
