Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Hotel Delle Muse? It’s tucked away on this quiet residential street in Parioli, and I mean properly quiet – not the kind of “quiet” you get near Termini where there’s still constant traffic rumble. Via Tommaso Salvini feels almost suburban, which is wild considering you’re still in central Rome. The building itself has that understated Italian elegance thing going on, nothing flashy, but you can tell it’s been well-maintained. I actually walked past it twice before realizing I’d arrived because it blends so naturally into the neighborhood.
The location is honestly brilliant if you know Rome at all. You’re literally a five-minute walk from Villa Borghese – and I don’t mean the touristy entrance everyone uses, but the locals’ way in through the side streets where you can actually find a decent spot to sit under the trees. The Parioli area has this residential charm that most visitors never experience because they’re stuck around the Spanish Steps or Trastevere. There’s this little café two blocks down (I think it’s on Via Panama?) where the barista actually remembers your order after the second day, and the cornetti are still warm at 9 AM. The Metro’s about a ten-minute walk – Villa Borghese station on Line A – which gets you anywhere you need to go without the chaos of the central stations.
What really sets this place apart is how it feels like staying at someone’s well-appointed home rather than a typical hotel. The staff genuinely seems to care about what you’re up to, not in an invasive way, but they’ll actually give you useful local tips instead of just handing you a generic map. The rooms are comfortable – not luxurious, but thoughtfully done with good lighting and decent soundproofing. I mean, you can still hear the occasional Vespa, but it’s Rome, that’s part of the soundtrack. The breakfast setup is simple but they do it right – proper espresso, fresh pastries, and they don’t rush you out if you want to linger over your cappuccino. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that overly formal front desk theater you get at some places.
Honestly, the 3-star rating doesn’t tell the whole story here. This isn’t about marble lobbies or rooftop pools – it’s about being in a real Roman neighborhood where you can grab groceries at the local market, walk through one of the city’s best parks whenever you want, and still be on the Metro to the Colosseum in twenty minutes. The 8.2 rating makes complete sense because it delivers exactly what it promises without trying to be something it’s not. If you’re the type who wants to experience Rome like you actually live there for a week, rather than just checking off tourist boxes, this is your spot. Plus, parking is actually possible in this area if you’re brave enough to drive in Rome – which, let’s be honest, most of us aren’t.

Fabulous! Thank you! – Shi from United Kingdom – 31 May 2025 (9/10)
This hotel has definitely exceeded my expectations! I travelled to attend a conference at the university nearby, and I chose this hotel only because it's very close to the conference venue at the first place. As I checked in, I found that the staff here are so so so friendly and considerate! They know every guest, and they do really take care of everyone. On my check-out day, I unfortunately had to leave rather early – even before 5am, yet the staff offered me some breakfast and a macchiato before my departure – a big thank-you; this is so sweet! It was definitely a wonderful experience for me, and I would definitely rebook this hotel when I'm back to Rome! Thank you all!

Clean and very nice neighborhood and nice and helpful staff:
What could be improved: Could be a bit “boring” neighborhood but it’s close to bus stop with 20 minute trip to central parts of Rome.Very good – Petri from Finland – 6 March 2025 (8/10)
Place was clean, staff was friendly and hotels own restaurant was surprisingly good.
What could be improved: Elevator was very small and narrow, very old.Very comfortable, good value for money – Hilda from South Africa – 4 February 2025 (7/10)
Away from the crowds, very friendly staff
Ideal if you want to stay away from the bustle – Majella from Italy – 21 November 2024 (8/10)
On the bus line. Although a 30 minute drive from termini station, it is located in a residential neighborhood and felt very safe
What could be improved: The breakfast was amazingClassic hotel in the elegant Parioli district of Rome. Kind staff, clean rooms, generous breakfast, 3 parks in walking d – Dora from Hungary – 10 November 2024 (9/10)
Classic hotel in the elegant Parioli district of Rome. Kind staff, clean rooms, generous breakfast, 3 parks in walking distance, good public transport.
What could be improved: It’s a general remark, but I don’t like when instead of real duvet blanket with sheet coverage is used, not really comfortable for sleeping. Daytime temperature was very nice, but the hotel room was a bit cold in the evening.Very good – Abdulatef from Saudi Arabia – 15 July 2024 (8/10)
Great location
