Hotel Description

You know what struck me first about Hotel Del Corso? The sound. I mean, you’re literally on one of Rome’s main shopping streets – Via del Corso – so there’s this constant hum of life that somehow manages to be energizing rather than annoying. The hotel sits right in the thick of things, maybe a three-minute walk from the Spanish Steps (honestly, you can see tourists with their gelato heading that direction from the front entrance). The building itself has that classic Roman feel – nothing too fancy, but solid in the way Italian places tend to be. Check-in was straightforward, though the lobby’s pretty compact. The staff actually seemed to know the neighborhood well, which I appreciated when I asked about where to grab coffee that wasn’t a tourist trap.

The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid 3-star – clean, functional, with enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. The beds were surprisingly comfortable, and the bathrooms had been updated recently (thank goodness, because some Rome hotels still have fixtures from the 1970s). What I really liked was how quiet it got at night. I was worried about street noise, but the windows do their job, and Via del Corso actually calms down after the shops close. The AC worked well too, which – if you’ve been to Rome in summer – you know is not something to take for granted. One small thing that bugged me: the WiFi was a bit spotty on the upper floors, though it was fine in the lobby and lower rooms.

Here’s the thing about the location though – it’s actually perfect if you want to feel like you’re in the heart of Rome without paying Spanish Steps prices. You’re walking distance from Piazza Venezia (where all the bus tours start, so you know you’re centrally located), and the Pantheon is maybe a 10-minute stroll through some gorgeous side streets. Plus, there’s this little alimentari around the corner where you can grab supplies, and the metro stop at Spagna is close enough when your feet give out from all the cobblestones. The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant, but honestly, why would you eat hotel food when you’ve got about fifty authentic places within a two-block radius? I ended up loving this spot because it felt like I was staying in a real neighborhood rather than a tourist bubble, even though I was right in the middle of everything. For the price point and the location, it’s a solid choice – especially if you’re the type who spends most of your time exploring rather than lounging in your room.

    Perfect location. Friendly staff.

What could be improved: A little worn, but perfect location, central to everything. And excellent value.

  • Excellent central location, nice hotel and staff. Rooftop terrace for breakfast was superb. – Tony from United Kingdom – 22 April 2025 (9/10)

First class location for local sites and shops. Room was in the separate building down the road, this was OK other than I selected a room that did not have a window (my fault).

What could be improved: Nothing to dislike

  • Overall stay was nice the rooms are quite spacious but the showers were questionable – Adriana from Australia – 21 April 2025 (7/10)

  • Value for money, great location to stay – Dencali from Turkey – 4 February 2025 (7/10)

The location was amazing and the staff are helpful and friendly

What could be improved: The room is small, there was no space to open your my medium luggage. Also, the room temperature was cold, especially during nights.

  • overall this place is great – Rick from Australia – 8 January 2025 (9/10)

the room and location were great

What could be improved: the breakfast could have been better

  • Great location for shopping – Vandi from United States – 28 September 2024 (8/10)

The location was excellent. The rooftop bar was very nice and contemporary furniture. The staff was attentive and helpful. Very large room.

What could be improved: Old and Outdated furniture as well as bathroom finished. But we were comfortable and content.

  • We had a great stay , front of house staff very friendly and polite and also house keeping. – Marcela from Canada – 22 August 2024 (8/10)

    The location was fantastic.

What could be improved: Breakfast was not that good and the staff up stairs was not very friendly. A smile goes a long way. There was no iron which would have been great to have.

  • Great location, staff and breakfast. Would recommend a stay here! – Orla from Ireland – 7 August 2024 (9/10)

The location is excellent, very central. The staff were lovely, very helpful. The breakfast on the roof top terrace was really good, great scrambled eggs and lovely staff there too. Rooms were air conditioned and very comfortable. Great value for money. Will stay there again!

What could be improved: There was no bar open, but this wasn’t a big deal as there were lots of places very near by.

  • A stay in Rome… – Marcelo from Saudi Arabia – 2 August 2024 (8/10)

The location of this hotel is just fantastic, being right in the middle of Rome, close to metro station, easy walking access to many shops and restaurants and many more. The hotel itself is at an old building but rooms and bathroom were very good for us and everything went very smooth. Employees were all very attentive, giving us their best whenever we asked for information or something. We liked it so much that a week later, after returning from Sorrento, we stayed there again for our last night before flying out.

What could be improved: Nothing to dislike in this hotel.
